  2. Shoot, it did get a bit much Can you tone the black down a bit??? Sorry I opened up my big mouth about it
  3. OOhh look at it take shape with a few body panels, love the fuel filler cap detail DO you paint the brass framework or is that a stupid question
  4. Pardon my political incorrectness, but the Supra's have always had such nice bums....one of the best rear ends
  5. It is looking good do far Nice build, good to see something different
  6. In a moment of weakness, I ordered the 1/20 Bugatti Type 35...just could not resist anymore
  7. I can't even imagine the decal hangover you must have had after doing this, would have made my eyes spin! Great job
  8. Whew,I thought you were posting from prison for half a sec Nice build
  9. Superb color and paintwork The rear deck lid looks better before being stripped than any of my final paint jobs! I have the same Grex airbrush and I think mine is possessed by green gremlins or something....or I am just a moron and can't follow proper steps Like your paint booth a lot, it looks like fume hood I have the Fujimi version of this kit waiting in my stash pile
  10. Very sweet
  11. Great idea Been wondering how to battle the dust and unwelcome fingers for my builds
  12. Thanks for the kind words and following along Bruce We are always our own worst critics....wheels are ok, but if I had them with just primer and one coat they would have been smokin nice This was a fun build, just hard to stick to it and keep detailing as it gets closer to the end Anyone else find that? I get sick of it and into a "just get it done" mode
  13. Nice stuff!
  14. I really liked this grey version of the MG too, Jag would look good dressed like this
  15. hmm red wheels i have a nice little red kangaroo skin too Now you are trying to get me juiced to do the SS
  16. She is done and under glass...actually she is sitting on fake grass http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=98787&hl=
  17. Oooh is that a Stewart Mac base for the Dremel??? I have seen and been drooling over those from their guitar woodworking site Fabulous build btw
  18. I need a break from all things British, going to have a little Italian fling for a bit, then a Star wars X-wing dio The MG and SS kits look almost identical and I might have to go into an asylum if I do another Minicraft so soon But, the SS will look good in Wimbledon white paint, real mesh grill with black calf skin interior....I bought the paint Saturday, it is all in the plan I am sure you will help direct me the correct route when I get there I am just warming up for those two Alfa Pochers!!
  19. Looks fantastic!!! Not sure where you mean to smooth, but go with as fine a paper as you can get your mitts on and LIGHTLY smooth You have done yourself proud here in my opinion I love the rolling frame under the car, had to take a second look to see it isn't a real 1:1 Will you do panel line black details??? If you haven't before and want to, try it out on your test Camaro. It is not to be taken lightly as easy to screw it all up http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80880&hl=%2Bpanel+%2Blines
  20. Ok I did some more pics last night of the guts darn ejector pin mark came through even with putty and textured black paint There are two brass tubes at the front cross rail I had to add to extend the length of the rail and allow the fenders to sit. I left them brass as I thought it looked kinda cool Lead foil CA glued down to make exhaust clamps, wire retainers as well I can't see the brake lines in the photos and I know where they are!! Used brass "u" stock for the rear bumper attachment, aluminum exhaust pipe flared out by hand The brown thing is a block of styrene bolts I am going to chrome and use on the MG maker's plaque after I get it engraved I made some wheel chocks out of coffee stirrers and brass so she doesn't roll off the grass Steering linkage out of brass rods on RHS of engine.....just hated leaving the steering column hanging in mid air oops, bit blurry My dual weber carbs with dual fuel pumps...I am only a poser of a mechanic Thanks for looking guys, sorry no tight close ups with the iPad camera...have a peek at the build thread, the engine is well represented there
  21. Thanks Peter, appreciate your comment. I overpainted these wheels in my opinion as I waffled on dull silver vs chrome. So wound up with a third paint layer on them to brighten up and I think got it too thick Well you know how much help and encouragement I received from your keyboard Thanks
  22. Thanks Carl I am liking your Steve McQueen avatar...one of my heroes
  23. Just hassling ya
