TJ, I'm not sure, I've taken your pic, and added my own "pointing" out insignia to show ya, and even a different pic angle looks good! The rear bumper does look good! The lens made to fit "in" or from behind? Any idea on color of the car!? -

You sound like me! I second guess myself on the grille work a lot..... (MOST of my builds) so When I post what I did, and all everyone says it looks GREAT so. I'll take there word for it, as I think its OK nothing special, but, I guess, thats just how I am! -I'm the same way on interiors! I don't think I'm all that good at them, but, I seem to get told otherwise, Like-wise here, that grille turned out GREAT that Argent "silver" you used for the "back" shadowing turned out GREAT! What exact color did you use for that? In any case its NICELY done! -

So how'd you get the shadowing on it? Looks like well painted job you did, unless I'm seeing things again! LOL The headlights, yeah, I have yet to try Elmers glue, BUT I do use Testors Clear Glass Glue which if you look at my completed '68 Roadrunner will show the effect much the same you did here just used a different product! -

-Thanks Mike!!!! Much appreciated!!!! Was a lot of fun to do in the situation I was in when I started it..... NOW however, I'm off to other GREAT Mopar builds of mine and have a couple started and slowly going on them too!

WELL the time comes for a little update, as it has been awhile since I've made any progress on this build.... A few models later, (One completed model my '68 Roadrunner) and a few NEW-to-me tools to make things a little different! With this build, back in the day when I was merely a teenager, I worked for a local garage, painting cars and trucks and for my 16th the owner was going to help me with a set of wheels and he knew then I was a Mopar guy, and liked trucks, found me a '78 just like this one, that was all black. Taking that same truck and making it however I want, (IF I had the funds, time, and parts, and everything would work! I KNOW the twin 6-Pack Cross-Ram on a 528 Hemi might be a bit overkill but on a model it sure looks good!) BUT I wanted the truck "lifted", as it was 4x4 anyway, BUT if I had or could get anything I wanted back then, I'da had 44 inch Super Swampers, mounted to a very "similar" wheel to the Mopar "Rallye's" -I just like the looks of those wheels, to this very day even! BUT The catch? I don't think those rims would work well on 44 inch tires no matter what was done unless made of solid Aluminum! LOL Back then, such did not exist, but today, however you can get all Aluminum made Mopar Rallye's! BUT the issue is the TSL Super Swampers for the model, they're a cast-off from "So-Real" Die-Cast model truck, and have a special size rim.... Needless to say, when I figured this out, I was disappointed, BUT I didn't give up on finding rims other then the (I THINK they're called) "Rock Crushers" Wasn't feeling that look.... SO I stayed optimistic.... Low & behold, God was lookin' down upon me smiling one day, I was going through kits for something and noticed the rims in the Revell '70 Cuda... Rallye's, YES, and had a bit of a "spacer" bulge in the center of the rims.... making them seem a tad "fatter in diameter.... SO my first thought would they work? Sure enough, they DO! BUT theres an issue even then..... The lip of the rim doesn't make contact with the inner lip of the tires!!!! Solution? BEAD-LOCKS! With that being said, about 2 months ago, I bought yet one more Unimat (I now have 2 of those machines!) One set up as a Milling Machine, and the newest one set up as a Metal Lathe.... The new machine however came with some attachments and accessories, the first one I got did not have.... One of those attachments is a "Dividing Head". this tool on the Milling Machine equally divides a circle in 48 equally spaces "areas"..... Making what your about to see, POSSIBLE (Could be done without that tool attachment but it be a LOT of measuring & some real precise work to achieve, the attachment just makes it a whole lot easier! See: I took that new attachment and made my own Bead-Locks. from Stainless steel washers I had in the shop, the outer diameter fits the Super Swampers perfectly, and the inner diameter, fits the rims perfectly!!!!! I am one happy modeler just finding this! SO I went and tried out the new tool, as well as the new attachment on it, and drilled holes even;y spaced all the way around that washer, and then proceeded to polish the ever lovin' heck out of them, and they look good, BUT I have yet to come up with a "bolt" set up to fit.... Thats to come! I thought making this all happen was plenty good for an update!!!! ~Enjoy!

-Greg, That body is looking real good!!!! I have this same van, as a glue bomb that I plan to go other-wise on it now then originally planned (I WAS going to use it as the van that my Uncle had for my "Family builds") BUT, I got a WAY BETTER one for the Uncle's van so that gluebomb I had is gonna be some wild custom now!

Thanks for posting that! I will be contacting him for plating some of my resin parts.....

WOW..... This George guy, how do I get the contact info for him? And what kinda rates might he have for such!?

Thanks guys! Much appreciated! If you all read the first posting, this model was my "healing" model. after the accident with my hands, and to that end, I've got a little sentimental attachment to it because of it, I had to go through NO "Dexterity" therapy!!!! It did it all on its own! Which in itself is kinda impressive to think what model building does or can do in bad physical situations..... I'm happy to see it completed, and look as good as it does for what it start out being, and what it ended to be! Thanks tho guys! MUCH Appreciated!

I feel your pain TJ..... I live in an area too that has Michael's, Craft store, and 1/2 hour ride to Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart used top have kits local in my town, but clearanced 'em all out and are gone now! Closest hobby shop is 45 minutes to an hour, and one that is an hour away isn't all that bad, and has some interesting things, the other one thats slightly closer has a lot but the prices are just a bit steep. I do however pick up paints and glues as needed at the further away shop.... He treats me VERY WELL there, and has decent prices!
