  1. Tom, I'll have to keep my eyes out for it!!! I myself find a lot of solder at junk sales for little to nothing cost-wise, and I have found a lot of solder that be great for making my own header piping.... I have yet top try/attempt it so... But thats coming, the time to try to make my own headers from solder and then I'll probably turn a "collector" to go to the exhaust pipe work....
  2. Tom, I'm sorry guiy, I missed your post above mine with the you being there with a fellow New Englander...... HMMMM Wonder if I know him!?
  3. Yeah, but you said it, I didn't I'ma youngster remember LOL But I do like it...... I'ma sucker for that one-off odd-ball stuff, hey thats kinda like me!
  4. Gotta love that "what if" bug..... it happens to me a lot as well...... Solder for exhaust? Thats a new one, (I can't find the right sized solder for such), BUT what I have found (for stock type exhaust pipe) is floral wire thats solid aluminum, and found at the Dollar Tree stores for $1.00 for 6 feet of it! -Look at a lot of my builds I've got on here and you'll see that wire, specially my '68 Roadrunner model! Sounds like you go in for a penny and come out with a pound!!!! NOT a bad thing!
  5. LOL Tom.... Yeah I bet you will be lookin' for me!!!!! LOL
  6. Tom, Man, is that different, as I did a 4070. WOW tho, I like where you went with this one!!! Altho, NOT a big fan of Detroit, BUT that V12 I bet is something else twin-turbo'd!
  7. Tom the start of what your doing here is dang nice!!!! That cab, a bit different, BUT looks good on that Chassis!
  8. Tom that turned out GREAT MAN!!!!! NOW if I could just get one of my OWN model trucks done, I'd have it made!
  9. -I'm gonna be there too! I MAY see those here there, if you look for me, I'll have my part of my screen name here, on a hat, on my head! Stop me and say hello if you see me!
  10. God Speed Harry, You will be missed, and God Bless his family, as they're the ones that will take the loss the hardest, God Bless them all! And to the rest of us, a message, he's in better hands, and a better place, even tho he will be missed, please, he's not struggling anymore! R.I.P my friend!
  11. Applying "Future Shine" to tires to put decals on them, how is it best done? Sprayed through an air brush or simply brushed on? (I plan to make some Redline tires, and would like to try this stuff as I got a little of it and want to see/get a feel, of how its used.... -Thanks guys!
  12. Have a Testors color number? Should be on the side of the bottle!
  13. Dave, NIICE work on that paint man! Your goin' for the "Used" look I assume? (It looks GREAT, and even has a sunshine faded look to it too!)
  14. Thanks! Yeah I know where the Dog was from (What Kit) I got it from a friend, and made a quick mold of it, and made one for this build. that way the friend could have his back for when he needs it!!!! So..... I'll have them for awhile.... As I made several of them at the time, for future use else where, painted differently.
  15. Geoff, That Copper Orange on that '57 300 turned out GORGEOUS!!!!! NICE work man! I did one in Panther Pink a couple years ago, and the more I see this same kit, the more I want another one!!!!!
  16. Thanks Mark! MUCH appreciated!!!! (Took a break from this build), I have to get back to it as its really close done but I had other things within the shop take priority so...... New tools, new work, changing benches, adding things here, changing things there, ya kinda get caught up in it, and then once all set up. get to "test" it all out, which is what I have been sort of doing, with and on model parts I couldn't do before I got my recently aquired Unimat......
  17. Thanks man! Yeah, I really get into the engine building.... -The part I most enjoy, but you couldn't see that! I didn't post it in the Car area WIP, as it isn't exactly a "car" but a emergency vehicle.... (I didn't think it "fit" there but if the Staff would like, they could move it there!) I wouldn't be offended on the move!
  18. You mean "Impotent".... LOL (NICE work on the model tho!)
  19. Thanks Scott! I have to say, I'm very happy with them both! (I just got a Collet set for them too!) So yeah, Someone from above smiled upon me!
  20. Yes, I know they're old, BUT those things run & work so well its not funny, ad both are still "true" to the factory Tolerances!! I wouldn't trade 'em for anything in the world!
  21. -OK you guys........... I just got a REAL "Mother LOAD" (NOT models tho!)...... Check this out...... This ---^ Is what my "Machine Bench" once looked like...... THEN: I now have TWO of those machine centers! ONE I had is now set up as a Milling Machine: And the NEWEST addition: This new machine came with so much that for the price of all the "accessories" and attachments with it, I got, the machine literally cost me $55 bucks! Same ole cabinet I made for all the attachments & accessories, now with a WHOLE LOT MORE in it! This ought to make things happen a tad bit faster!!!! AND allow for more things to be made then before.... NOW both are "Stable Mates"...... And the light switch in my shop............ YOU BET! I also got a bunch of molding items too..... I'll be producin' a bunch of stuff, so stay tuned in my Resin area!!!! I AM one HAPPY "shop" owner!!!!
  22. Sure does look good! LOVE the hood and the color combination..... Glad you didn't go a "delete" code on the Deck Stripe, that looks GREAT with that green, car with black vinyl roof!
  23. Welcome aboard fellow New Englander!!!! Have a seat, look around, and post up what you've done! Always nice to see others work and skills! But most of all? ENJOY all of it!
  24. NICE work on that A100 Door!!!! Those hinges they use are difficult to work with from what I've read...... Will you get the door to close correctly when your done with the hinges?
  25. David, Yeah you are right, that kit doesn't deserve all that, BUT my way of building, I just can't help myself sometimes (specially to know when, enough is enough!) So. BUT that kit needed serious help as you know so... I'm let 'er rip anyway! Thanks for the kudo's....... much appreciated!
