  1. That is a bit of hyperbolic humor among armor modelers commenting on the mind-numbingly absurd number of sub-sub-sub variants of AFVs, especially German Tiger I tanks, released by kit makers; although, those same manufacturers are doing their best to see this joke becomes reality.
  2. The color is Post Office Light Blue FS15095. No model paint equivalent is available. Start googling for the paint by name and/or FS Number. You might be able to find it in a spray can.
  3. If this is the case, that puts a crimp on things. Your shopping choices are severely restricted to what's on hand. Live by the coupon, die by the coupon.
  4. Unless you're content with seeing the same four or five models on the shelves, there are plenty of online stores which carry a much larger variety of kits and supplies than you could ever find in a HL.
  5. That's a lot different than a sweepstakes drawing. This is for a mailing list, as stated at the top. You can sign up online.
  6. That contest ended a long time ago. If you look at the form, there should be some fine print indicating entry deadline.
  7. If I built kits for the nostalgia, they'd be loaded with firecrackers. I'd probably get hauled off by the cops if I did that now. Some silly thing about them being illegal here. Killjoys.
  8. Car modeling, compared to armor/aircraft/sci-fi, is a niche catering to a comparatively small segment of the hobby. Unlike a company releasing every single variant of, let's say, a Pz III Ausf. M (including versions built at a specific time on a specific work shift at the Daimler Benz plant), you ain't gonna see that kind of commitment from the likes of Round2RevellWhatever.
  9. How old are the kits? Look on the bottom of the box to check.
  10. The '59 Caddy would still have the incorrect rear suspension configuration. The trailing arms need to be oriented toward the center of the chassis with the mounts attached to the frame rails, like the ones on the '66 Riviera. It won't be a walk through the park to slice and dice your way to an accurate chassis using parts and sections from multiple vict...donor kits. .
  11. Get one of these, a Wicked Lasers Spyder III Arctic. It'll slice right through those printer supports, and a lot of other things, like a hot knife through butter.
  12. Those PBA cards always come in handy in situations like that.
  13. What's not to like about it? My friend's older brother had one in the same color back in '73. I give it ??? just because I'm that kind of guy.
  14. The whooppee cushion by itself justifies buying that kit.
  15. That's a beaut, Rich. I checked out his FB page and he has a lot of nice stuff I need to hand over cash for.
  16. Not really. It wouldn't have the correct front and rear suspension and fuel tank. Revellogram '59 Caddy '62 Electra rear suspension '62 Electra fuel tank The fairly recent AMT/ERTL '66 Riviera (30083 or 31849) would be a better starting point since the front suspension is identical to the Electra's. The section within the red box couldn't be used because the fuel tank is incorrect for a '62 and the rear frame rails on the '62 Electra are parallel, not angled outward. The AMT/ERTL '62 Impala/Bel Air kit chassis are pretty close to the configuration of the Electra, with the exception of the front suspension and wheelbase. The '66 Riviera front suspension can be grafted onto the Impala/Bel Air chassis plate with adjustments made to increase the wheelbase to a scale 126". If you are really serious about creating an accurate and correctly detailed representation of the '62 Electra chassis, this would entail a lot of reconstructive surgery on your part; but, the result would be worth the effort.
  17. The 225 front suspension is also similar to '61-68 Cadillacs '62 Electra '68 Deville
  18. The Electra 225 used the C-body platform which had a 126" wheelbase. The Impala/Biscayne/Bel Air used the B-body platform which had a 119" wheelbase.
  19. Thanks for the tip. Plenty o'bike lanes here.
  20. That engine is great looking. I never saw that on Joel's ebay page. FB only?
  21. Liz better develop a taste for blue Kool-Aid and green baloney sandwiches when she registers at the Graybar Hotel.
