  1. Yeah.......that's the ticket. Use "dimensional adjustments" to get this from this Nobody'll notice.
  2. Here's the proof (190)
  3. Magic Sculpt or Apoxie two-part epoxy putties work. Both are water soluble and can be smoothed flush with a wet finger, eliminating the need for any sanding. I use the former on resin armor parts with delicate details and have never needed to resort to sanding/filing to remove excess.
  4. "WOW!" is the only suitable superlative which I can offer, Steve. Kudos, Bro.
  5. If that's the case, I'm permanently immunized. Blackberries contain a high tannin (antioxidant) content which does provide relief from effects of the tropical apocalypse. Fe-Fi, Fo-Fum, Hic!
  6. Check your inbox.
  7. I use Krylon ColorMaster Paint/Primers and Straight primers and have had good results. I also like Mr. Primer Surfacer sprays. Both provide a nice level surface. Another option is Badger Stylinrez primers. They are polyurethane resin based. I recently started using them and am very impressed with their durability and self-leveling properties.
  8. I just got off the phone with Valspar customer service. The Plastickote line was discontinued; however, "We do produce Krylon products which are just as good."
  9. I store decal sheets in gallon size zip lock bags with a silicone gel packet added to absorb any moisture. I have 40+ year old Microscale sheets which are as good as the day I bought them.
  10. .010" clear PETG sheet two-pack for $4.97 HERE.
  11. I prefer using diamond burrs of various shapes and grits (150-600) over stone bits at speeds of 5-10,000 RPM. I haven't experienced any plastic melt yet.
  12. I use the Dremel 8050-N/18 Micro cordless with a keyless chuck and has pushbutton 5-28,000 RPM speed controls. Best moto-tool I've ever owned.
  13. MCW Finishes produces a resin '57 Nomad. The only issue is that it requires the '57 Chevy Bel Air Two-Door Sedan 2'n1 (85-4251) as a donor. I can't say if it will work with the old Nomad chassis.
  14. Hendrix Manufacturing is defunct, Mike. Were you looking through this list Hendrix Price List or looking at Hendrix Resin Kits Gallery Steve Kohler of Star Models Has Hendrix resin products (not the complete line, though) listed in his index: Star Models Cross-reference both lists to see which are available.
  15. I used a Bic lighter with the 3" length of guitar string held by a pair of locking tweezers. I heated the string until it turned red; then, In let it cool. Afterward, I pulled the piece through a folded piece of 400 grit wet & dry paper to remove the oxidation.
  16. I just tried it on a piece of 18 gauge nickel wound string and annealing it makes it very flexible.
  17. Courtesy of UPS from Buffalo to Brooklyn Both of those kits were mangled plus parts lost falling through what was left of the packing box.
  18. No need to thank me. I'm a regular jerk. Fair is fair, though.
  19. The spray cans are being discontinued. The only one listed on the Testors site is Aluminum Plate-Flat No. 1451. Metalizers Lacquer Sprays
  20. Honestly, you should've posted this question in your thread asking for recommendations for a milling machine. No real need for a separate thread.
