Only if you can find a print shop that isn't hard up. Another member here was looking for a source of used printing plates and was also informed to check out print shops. I got curious and stopped by one near me. I asked the manager if he could give me a couple of used plates and he laughed. He said that he's not running a charity. He explained that a box of 100 plates weighs about 17-20 lbs. and that translates to around $.25/lb. from the mongo (scrap metal) dealer. With the amount of plates that his shop goes through, that adds up to serious money.

Nope, Scott is correct. The Riviera used an X-frame from 1963 to1970. That's a Monte Carlo (used for 41 other models from '78-'88, according to the seller's own info) frame in that ebay listing, Says so: 1978-88 Monte Carlo Regal Grand National Nice Solid Frame The seller used the same photo in the ad describing this as a '66 Riviera frame, which it isn't. 1966 Buick Riviera Frame This is the frame from a 1966 Riviera GS

Worst airplanes and helicoptors ever made
SfanGoch replied to gbdolfans's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
The first reason being that the Huskie was primarily used for aircraft firefighting and rescue in the close vicinity of air bases. The USAF, Navy and Marines use fixed wing aircraft requiring airfields; having a helicopter with the Huskie's capabilities makes sense. Secondly, the Army didn't need it because its aviation branch consists mostly of rotary wing aircraft which don't require the facilities required by things with wings. The Army used its own choppers, such as the UH-1, for similar missions. -
Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers. '69 and '70 were the only years 3 out 4 hit on all cylinders. I had to wait until 1994 before Dutton's Curse was finally broken and the Rangers won the Stanley Cup after a 54 year drought. The Knicks........the less said, the better. The only thing one could say about this gaggle of bums is that they suck big time.

Oh, you must be a Bills fan. Them Bills are sumthin'. Why, they're the only team to play in four consecutive Super Bowls and........... LOST EVERY ONE!!!!!!

Since I don't have a horse in this race, the upcoming baseball season is the only thing to look forward to with any chance of smelling post-season play. Being from Lawnguylant, you should be familiar with that feeling if you are/were a Jets fan.

That, in itself, is a belated Christmas present. Plus, the Pats are gonna get burned for Spygate II. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch. Hopefully, my Jets will win another Super Bowl before the turn of the 22nd Century. Pitchers and catchers report in 35 days. Frank Gernano taking the expression "Kill the umpire!" literally.

That's assuming either exists in his particular area, which is not always the case. It's not like there's a modeling club on every corner. I know for a fact that there is only one scale modelers club in NYC, The Brooklyn Plastic Modelers Society, and it's located in the middle of Downtown Nowhere. Local swap meets/flea markets aren't always an option for buying or selling model-related items because a majority of the stuff sold is junk. Unlike some of the luckier forum members who've scored some styrene loot at these events, I've only seen designer keffiyehs and overpriced "vintage" Remington typewriters with missing hammers.

Krylon Short Cuts spray paint.
SfanGoch replied to Brutalform's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Sorry 'bout that. I actually called the offices at (800)457-9566 to get that info. I did bring up the fact that there isn't any mention as to whether it's enamel, lacquer or acrylic and was informed that Short Cuts aerosol paints are enamel. Also, I was told if the paint (product no. SCS-070) isn't listed in the color chart, it has been discontinued in that particular line. -

This is an enamel paint. Says so on the Krylon website. It's also a discontinued item. -

Enemy infiltration mission to palm off phony phranks, made with mechanically separated (aka "White Slime") turkey, mechanically separated chicken and pork, as the gen-OO-wine article. Oscar Mayer Wieners are the are the unholy anti-frankfurter. The only REAL hot dogs, made with nuthin' but beef, authorized for human consumption here are Sabrett's in dirty water dog carts and Nathan's Famous from the grill, not cooked -

It's soda, just like sneakers aren't tennis shoes and pizza is sold by the slice, not a piece. Go to Target for Mello Yello. All of the Target locations in Brooklyn and Queens stock it. The stores in and around Philly should, too. Used to date a chick from Manayunk back in the late '70s. Her aunt was A&R Director at RCA Records in Manhattan -
