Here's the contents of the kit. Appologies for some of the pics being a little sepia toned on the decals and some of the parts. I like that there is two options for the glass and suspect there might be another version of the kit later. Its based of the van and bus kits previously released by revell so there are a few extra body panels for the van. I didn't take a pic of the tyres as they are just round and black. It would have been nice to have some white walls but thats just personal preference. Some chrome bumpers and mirrors would also have been nice but again thats personal choice and i expect the hasegawa one might fit with a little work. I hope the aftermarket bring out some photo etch and camping equipment for this kit as it is very nice. There is a ejector pin mark on the interior floor pan but it looks like it will be under some of the interior units. Sorry the pics aren't in any order, I still cant get that to work for me. Also take note of how it fits in the box as I didn't so it wont fit back inside

Citroen HY van - used and abused

I believe it was a weight/cost saving measure. Its a much thinner guage of steel than other vehicles of the time. -

its a nice looking kit Tom, I have it in front of me and will be posting the contents when i have my camera handy. Even before opening the box i was impressed by the weight of it and the molding is good.

Turned out nice Gareth, its funny how a kit you have no enthusiasm for in the beginning can change your mind. After watching yours come together I've added it to my ebay list

I recieved my vw campers this morning. First impressions are good, the box is very weighty compared to the bus and van versions, and the parts are nicely molded. I dont have my camera with me but will post the contents on monday.

I recieved my camper vans today. First impressions are good, crisp molding and the box has a good weight to it even before opening it. Unfortunatelly my camera isn't with me just now so I'll post pics sometime on monday. I am looking forward to starting it though

When i was at school we still had a metalworking class. One of the tasks we had to complete to pass was to make a basic knife (not forged, just filled from scraps). Unfortunatelly the school rules changed and having a knife was now a suspendable offence but it was a required part of the class still. Some of us had put a lot of work into making them as christmas gifts for our parents to display but when we tried to take them home we all got them taken off us and the head teacher ordered them all to be destroyed. My dad went to the school and demanded they be returned to the students as it really was quite upsetting to have a punishment for completing our school work. I dont know what that headteacher was thinking, they still had to make knives the following year only with a 45mm blade instead of the 150mm we were making

Great kit, I've built one as a 35 and have another part done as a rusty one and 4 more unstarted. One word of caution, the rear brake rods are very fragile and their attachment to the sprue is pretty thick which makes removing them more work than normal, hence my rusty version. -
Model Truckin Decals.
stitchdup replied to James Maynard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
from the modeltruckin website; As a reminder for some of the ones not familiar with my decals, these are printed on clear waterslide paper. Simply cut and dip in warm water for a few moments til the decal loosens from the paper. These are not peel & stick. Decal setting solution is not necessary, but can be used. This can be picked up at any hobby shop or even at Hobby Lobby. -
Its the 1/24 kit(i hope,I never thought to check but its priced close to the other 1/24s) mine should be here tomorrow or sat so I'll be posting pics of the contents then

Treated myself to a new to me laptop. I considered buying brand new but got a smoking hot deal on a factory reconditioned lenovo. Its much faster than my old one and has twice the storage. I think I'll keep my old one for taking to work with me as i have had it for near 10 years and it wont matter as much if it gets damaged -
