Fun night on the boat i work on, about an hour after i started we lost all but 2 lines aloing with our shore power cable. I was onboard by myself for about an hour and a half after until the local pilot boat manged to get alongside and put a small crew on. I'm usually the nightwatch/cleaner but so i really didn't have any idea what to do. we're still not back at the pier but at least we now have power again and there are folk that know what to do. The boat i work on is a seacat passenger ferry so I was not really in any danger even if it went ashore but it i was still extremely stressed over it as its a lot of responsibility if it did go ashore. We have the local lifeboat on standby just in case anything else goes wrong tonight

I've said that many times, but last year I got rid of my tv to make space for more kits and still had to add more shelving. Currently I have them stacked to the roof and under anything that has space for a kit. In my deffence, the past year was different as i was working a lot more so spending it on kits for when my wages drop was like me planning ahead

Maybe trying another set of wheels/tyres would let it work for you

this is why you wash your smart car in 30 degree water. Really its a motorised wheel chair under all that plastic

Today I made a revell charger chassis fit a johan 63 plymouth and got half way through building a turbo system to fit the 440, them I got some more done on a very 60s 37 ford, a 65 c10 crew cab dually custom and the 39 chevy custom. I'm trying to free up some space on the bench so I can start the revell vw camper but all my projects have snowballed so it may be some time before i get to it. At least it will only be slammed on some brms

they all redirect to motortrend, says something about european data laws then opens motortrend

Went to have a look on hot rod mag website and it redirected me to motortrend. Its seems those of us in europe aren't allowed to look any more. Tried super street, lowrider and truck trend too but it was the same story. All i can look at on any motortrend site is new standard cars which have very little interest to me. Anybody able able to suggeat some non motortrend sites that feature modified cars and trucks?

That gembella kinda reminds me of the rx7 fortune body kit (the one that got totalled in tokyo drift)

I've got some of them but they seem kinda thick for the spray cans. They are big cans though compared to duplicolour. Next time I use them I'm going to try the warming the can trick to see if it makes a difference

If I enjoy building a kit I usually replace it before finishing as I have more than 1 idea for most of these, or have trans kits for them

Thats a nice front end, I used the same front end when I did mine but wish now i had left off the chevy eyebrows from above the lights

I lean towards vw/audi etc family of kits but dont limit myself to just those and probably have more others than vw. I Have bought kits based on the box art or just to see what they are like. n example of this would be the amt original customising 57 chevy and 50 ford kits I really only got for the boxes. The chevy was a wreck but the ford turned out to be mint. As far as manufacturers I buy from any that have something that I like the look off but I prefer the japanese brands or newer revell for subject matter that holds my interest or if something is a screaming deal I'll take a chance on it. My favourite parts of building is doing heavy custom body work to suit my tastes and my least favourite part is final assembly/completion as I find it a bit depressing until I start the next one. I dont mind a curbside kit but prefer them to have an engine and decent interior but chassis detail isn't important to me as how many people ever look at the models chassis once completed (hot rods are an exception to this as so much of the look depends on the chassis). I like glue kits but also use glue on snap kits and the more options the better for me and would like to see some of the muscle kits come with modern engine options and alternate parts for lowering. As for a non subject matter suggestion revell in europe need to use decent boxes, once they have been opened once they lose all rigidity and are just useless for anything else, and I would refer them to the us boxes that manage to hold their shape for long after the kit is built. 1/1 cars I'd like in my garage (all would be customised) mk3 golf gti 16v on throttle bodies. I know there are more powerful options available but I just like the look of the 90s euro look stuff from germany in the mid 90s vw sp2 on bags and some mesh style wheels nissan skyline r32 tuned to around 600 bhp mk2 jaguar chopped and 2 doored 1936 ford chopped in the kustom style 1933/4 ford hotrod 3 window smoothed and modern styled vw t2 bay window bus with a suburu engine and more luxury type interior
