amt 1202 1/25 AMT 1963 Chevy II Nova Station Wagon - Craftsman Plus
stitchdup replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I can see me getting one of these at some point, shouldn't be too hard to stick a 66 nova chassis under it if i really feel the need for and engine but I'm more likely to just do a panel paint job, lower it and call it done- 599 replies

Got two on the way now, I tried to pre order the t2 easyclik van at the same time but it wouldn't let me. I'm hoping to fit the camper interior into the t2 van when it gets released as I used to have one years ago. There's also another version of the mk1 golf being released that looks to be just new decals, but i'll get one anyway

Nice repair work

I just got a notification from hannants that the revell vw t1 camper is now on sale. I'll be ordering a couple tomorrow and will post a review when I recieve them. Looks like it will be popular among us vw guys. It looks pretty nice in the pics (from hannants website)

I'm sure many of you have seen the new styling on the BMW m3. I've been wracking my brain trying to think where I'd seen it before and I finally realised where it was

Mostly stock apart from lowering and a set of messer wheels from USCP. I got this kit from ebay during lockdown and it arrived in a damaged state so the screen posts and cowl panel needed a bit of work to let the glass (almost) fit. The colour was left over from the mk3 golf wagon and I did a lighter interior and top. Unfortunately due to the damaged posts the top had be glued on or the window would fall out

Built from the fujimi kit mostly stock but i did a different coloured interior. This is the second of these I've built and I had problems with the bumpers again, especially at the rear. I dont know if the paint warped them or what because before painting there was no fit problems. I have the gti and another of the r32s to build but I'm thinking to try and convert the r32 to a mk6 version since the mk6 was a reskinned mk5

This was started this time last years but ended up buried on the bench. I recently pulled it out of the mess and got her finished. It is built using the USCP trans kit but since it only had a cover for the trunk area I cut down a volvo wagon part to fit. The front seats are from a revell ferrari and I used the fujimi vr6 kit for the rest. The paint is tamiya dark blue mica. The wheels are from scale production and are 17" ronals. I also tinted the headlights and did the rear lights all red. It was a good feeling to finally get it off the bench after almost a year (My work hours went from 56 a month to 84 every2 weeks so time disappeared on me) I thought about opening the hood so I could use the engine plate from the kit but the resin was pretty thick there and some extra material needed to be removed to get the bumper on but all in all it went together fairly well. One of my next vw projects will be a USA spec mk3 jetta trek edition in pearl white as we didn't get them over here

I play it safe and put a masking tape seal over those when they've been opened

if you cant find it I can easily get some to send to you, it does seem to be pretty hard to find them even in the uk though, but my local record shop is happy to order it in for me so I get them 6 at a time

thanks, I tried as many different searches as i could but i never thought to add kit at the end

Ah well, I dont do facebook but you'd think they would have something on the hobby design website or something. Seems like a poor business decision on their part given how many people are ditching facebook

Do alpha model have a website? I've been searching and all I'm getting in the results are places that stock them, a korean brass train manufacturer and a british modelling agency.

Humbrol do a couple of aluminum shades in their metalcote range, the matt finish is pretty close to what the pics shows
