first arrival in a while. i have a gnx kit but its molded in black and brittle with a pushed t th side roof. rather than destroy it i just ordered a grand national.

we are working on fixing it, it should be back to normal soon.

i would wait, deleting old pics would make the older threads kinda useless, and we all know how many threads get wrecked when a pic host changes its terms. We will get it fixed and back to running right, its just not somehing i know much about and i am liable to do damage if i try anything. I let the folk that know what their doing deal with it

We might be lucky and its just the forum rearranging to suit the new limits. There have been slow days after other recent changes so this might be the same, but Dave will look once he's on again which i suspect will be later today/tonight. Until then maybe pull out some plastic.....

I did a quick and dirty photoshop to make small change at the rear (and chopped it a little to make the top fit my idea) but if you chop it a couple mm, the roof would be lined up for the caddy trunk shape to work with the chevy top.

Kent models are pretty good for these kits, but the japanese shops have great prices. I've seen these kits at 1999.com for as little as $12 each

the roof is 5mm to the left at the front pillars. its been sat on its side for a couple of years so the rear pillar has a slight twist to it as well which is where i'm trying to get squared up. if it was an amt kit the hot water would have fixed it but monogram plastic doesn'e seem to age very well

Since you haven't finished the glass now would be a good time to paint the edge of the glass black. It will make your model look better as it will make it look like the glass goes in the rubber beading under the chrome. Its a small detail but you'll be happier with the finished model.
