I've travelled to an island group further north than my home. I am attending their local classic car show at the weekend so we have taken the simca and the corsair this time. We will be doing a fewroad tours with other classics so i should have pics all week. Heres the group we travelled north with. and heres a couple of cars owned by friends who made us breakfast. He had 3 more cars in carcoons so i couldn't get a decent pic of them -

THE FRANKENTRUCK
stitchdup replied to mrm's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
its based off the heller delahaye, in fact its delahaye right up to the back edge of the roof. the heller kit would give you an interior too but heller like to mold the door panels and side glass as one piece so if your body is chopped it wont work -

just lots of bruising luckily, my right shoulder and hip got it worst so hopefully its a bit better for monday. its probably assault but the telling off she got from me would get me charged with breach of the peace so i'm happy to just forget it

not when they arrive on liners and there was 3 today. proper tourists are respectful, liner passengers are mostly parasites arriving for a day using up all the public services so the folk that pay for them cant. its been like ths for the last ten years and every promise the council makes about reducing the numbers next year is a lie. in fact its such a lie their planning to build a bigger pier just for them so we can have even more of them when we already cant cope with the numbers we get now. the only year we had peace was 2020.

my main irktoday is tourists. in particular one american animal that was either too dumb or too entitled to realise dollars are not accepted in our shops and when she eventually left and i was being served she returned, shoved me out of her way violently and started shouting at the kid behind the till again. I lost my temper so i started cussing her out and she didn't look happy about it but i'm sick of having to bend over backwards to make them feel welcome when we get nothing from it. tourists get new everything but our pensioners get stuck in old run down homes cos theres no money for them. i have health conditions so her pushing me to the ground actually did some damage and i'm supposed to be going on holiday next week which might not happen now so thats more money wasted.

Easy way to find that lost part in the carpet
stitchdup replied to Jon Cole's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
when i set up my model room it already had a dark blue carpet. i was working on my rs6 and was about to fit the drivers nirror when it pinged away. since the room only had a bench in you'd think a fluorescant orange part would be easy to find in am empty room but it never showed up. and out of all the mirror files by denisovan the one i need isn't among them -

I'm at the stuck stage. I'm having difficulty deciding the best way to paint 2 sprues of mostly tiny parts. Anybody got any advice? -
We had our local vintage car run today. We visited a surviving ww2 training base for coastal batteries then later we visitted a farm museum showing how farming was before mechanisation and ww1. The day started off with the simca deciding the 50 year old coil needed replaced but my uncle must have expected this as the new one was already cable tied in place then it didn't want to start after getting fuel. Once we turned off all the electrics we got it going but my sister needs lessons in bump starting old cars, my back would apprediate it, lol. Due to the weather there wasn't the usual numbers so i've included pics of the things we saw. my camera was playing up a bit so some pics are a little dark. The patina on the peanut looks to have been done with an angle grinder, but it could also be the beginnings of an otr resto. The cars
