  1. Thanks for all the responses guys! This is a topic I’ve been thinking about quite a bit lately. Since I started printing my own wheels, it’s become more important to figure out how to actually use them.
  2. With enough time, I just might finish a model someday.
  3. Dearly attack kittens should be avoided at all costs…?
  4. Domination describes perfectly my plan for winning the one sentence game.?
  5. Awful is a pretty accurate description of how I feel when it’s time to apply bare metal foil.
  6. Gentlemen prefer blondes.
  7. It could create a bad situation if you glue your fingers together…
  8. It seems aftermarket wheels come in an almost unlimited range of styles these days, and so are their attachment methods. But unfortunately it’s not normally as straightforward as using the kit supplied method. I don’t have a specific set in mind for this thread, but rather, I’d like to hear your tips and advice on how you’ve accomplished this task in the past. Let’s hear it then. How have you made aftermarket wheels work for you? Any style welcome. What modifications did you make to the axles/wheels? Glue you used? Anything else that could be helpful to someone on the board who might be facing the same problem.
  9. Be excellent to each other.
  10. Heavy Metal, the movie, had some “interesting” animation.

  17. Strip before you shower, unless you’re doing laundry at the same time.
  18. Paint never comes easy for me, but I enjoy the practice.
  19. I did a little more printing tonight. Because it’s important to keep your vintage ride running cool, this one is getting an electric fan. Just about a perfect fit for the kit radiator.?
  20. Along comes someone singing to brighten up your mood.?
  21. Go take a long walk off a short pier!
  22. Me and you both.
  23. I’m using Chitubox. Light supports, 0.30 tip diameter with 0.10 penetration. None selected for tip shape. I don’t get many failures, and the supports come off easy, but they leave fairly large raised marks, larger than the contact area. Almost like a pimple, if that makes sense. I’m new to this, so it might be perfectly normal. But I’d like to optimize the contact points as much as possible if I can.
  24. My view on this has changed over the years. I used to avoid curbside kits, but now I’m fine with them. I can live with either way, although I still prefer to have an engine. The hobby has changed some of this too. With all the resin and 3d printed parts around now, it’s easier to fill the engine bay if you just have to have an engine in there.
  25. Afternoon, gentlemen!
