I sort of crushed my budget for a new airbrush, but hey! You only live once and you can’t take it with you!

That is just awesome. How the heck did it survive all those years?? -
Sweet ride! That color is perfect.?

That turned out great! You’d never know it gave you fits. Excellent job.?

Outstanding!

Uncomfortable it might be in some ways, but it would certainly be fuzzy.

Thanks man! In the late 80’s I looked at trading for a Yamaha. They build some great bikes. If I remember correctly I was looking at a Phaser 750? Insurance killed the deal for me.

This is my Nighthawk 450. I got this bike brand new in ‘85, and it was my first means of transportation. Still have it to this day, and will until the day I die.

Completion of a model kit is what exactly???

…and here we are, five months later.? My ‘40 Ford is on hold until the new airbrush shows up (Thursday?). So in the meantime I’m doing odds and ends for other kits. I saw a video by Barbados Rex about making heat-stained exhaust pipes, and I wanted to give it a shot on this kit. Here’s how it worked out. He used Mr. Color paints for his video. I had Tamiya on hand and so used it instead. Also, the body is currently getting stripped. When I painted it originally, I really wanted a metallic orange, but hadn’t gotten back into airbrushing yet, so I took what I could get. Now I’m going for the color I really want.

Bugs are not on the menu today.

Movie theaters are getting some of my money today when we go to Beetlejuice.

Thanks buddy! I build very slowly, and frequently will hit a roadblock that will send a kit into a stall. But for whatever reason I seem to have found my muse with this kit, and things are flowing pretty smoothly. Excuse me while I go knock on wood...?

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.

Pretty minor update (it seems like most are doesn’t it?). The kit radiator with 3D printed fan is done. This part came out exactly as I was hoping.

Ok guys, this is my first attempt at flocking. How’d I do? Honest critique and feedback please. I'd like to improve on this. To my eyes it looks a little thin in spots and thick in others.
