  1. You can take that advice to heart, right before it explodes.?
  2. Donuts are one of the super foods.?
  3. There goes the neighborhood..,
  4. Did a little more work on the coupe on and off this weekend. To start things off, I got the rims in primer and then shot gloss black with aluminum trim rings. Once cured, I’ll pop off the hubcaps and chrome them. Yesterday the dashboard was painted. Here’s a sneak peek at the color the body will be. This morning I got the body in primer. I used Dupli Color for this. Also got the suspension parts shot gloss black. And finally, I just now added a dark brown oil wash to the seat to give it a more realistic look. Let me know what you think. I didn’t want to over do it, so it’s a little subtle. I’m having a great time with this kit, and surprisingly I’m staying focused so far. The squirrels are knocking but I’m pushing them away for now.?
  5. Here’s the rest of the Ferrari kit hot off the printer. I’m reprinting the rear wing (this one warped when it was curing). I got some weird lines on the sides of the “frame”, but they won’t show on the finished build. Not sure what happened though. That’s the first time I’ve had this problem.
  6. Finished printing my first body this morning. It’s the largest piece I’ve printed to date. Everything else has been the size of a scale tire or smaller. The bottom plate is on the printer now and I’ll try to get the rest done sometime this weekend.
  7. That is one beautiful build.?
  8. Mowing is certainly not my favorite chore.
  9. Bippy is the word you choose to end your sentence with and you expect me to come up with something clever????
  10. Kid stuff is what many people think of model cars, but we know better.?
  11. Days turn into nights turn into days, and the whole cycle repeats.
  12. Nope. The a couple of the pillars were broken. Both are going back tomorrow for replacement.? The funny thing is that the Subaru wasn’t even shipped in a box. It was in a white bag, and it was fine.
  13. Mail call again today. Two packages this time. First the good- Then the bad. Thanks UPS!!!
  14. I’ve got to try one of his files. He’s got some great subject matter. Yours turned out great. Job well done.?
  15. That’s awesome. I think I’ve seen that file. Does any of his stuff come with engine detail? Just curious.
  16. You said a mouth full.?
  17. Just ordered this from Amazon. Seems like a pretty decent deal for six different sets. https://www.amazon.com/TAMIYA-Weathering-Master-6-Sets-Japan/dp/B00M66FM86/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=1X01TMDP573DS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LieL-YkdqzsPcmqgABXTGIIkcpbm9WHTW4KivZACl69zdJRAczRaiN21zdv4Bu5zNvlqpRUJHAhH0yR9CBy2lhbAjVCOqYOko9KUlKj0sSUNatafK_roytW4A8envYPXc89BZl_dR2MDXJAUrgjRcFBTCrq88IaPA38jOGNnZqhzvDlRm90Gnnn7QaCQoZtsJ9ahfhm0ZE54ses3rKDdwQ.4wjOWBvcNCnnE50HWyTyYhHTIcGerRYBsr280nvDcOg&dib_tag=se&keywords=tamiya+weathering+powder+set&qid=1724776586&sprefix=%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-1
  18. Family values are so important, and yet seem to be lacking more and more as time goes on.
  19. Told you so!
  20. I like the idea of the Tamiya pastels. Looks like a good place to start experimenting. Thank you, gents!?
  21. Because I’m addicted to styrene. Man do I need a hit right now… I got back into it in the late 90’s for the nostalgia, but I’m not sure that still plays a part. As Steve said near the beginning of this discussion, it’s in large part about the love of the automobile. I’ll never be able to have all the cars I dream of in 1:1, but I can have just about anything I choose in scale. Also, I enjoy my time at the bench. It’s a great way to decompress and still keep the mind and hands busy.
  22. Slowly but surely, I’m pushing this one forward. Today I shot the second color for the interior. I’m planning on flocking it with dark brown. Should be interesting, as I’ve never tried it.
  23. Mail call. In my humble opinion, one of the sexiest machines on four wheels.
  24. You know how you can sand the treads on the rubber/vinyl tires supplied in most kits to get a used effect? How can you get that same effect on resin tires? Sanding would just remove paint. I’ve got a set I’m getting ready to finish that I plan to base coat with Tamiya rubber black, but what’s the next step to make them look like they’ve seen a few miles?
  25. Far, far away is where I’d like to be from where I am currently.
