  1. You said a mouth full.?
  2. Just ordered this from Amazon. Seems like a pretty decent deal for six different sets. https://www.amazon.com/TAMIYA-Weathering-Master-6-Sets-Japan/dp/B00M66FM86/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=1X01TMDP573DS&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LieL-YkdqzsPcmqgABXTGIIkcpbm9WHTW4KivZACl69zdJRAczRaiN21zdv4Bu5zNvlqpRUJHAhH0yR9CBy2lhbAjVCOqYOko9KUlKj0sSUNatafK_roytW4A8envYPXc89BZl_dR2MDXJAUrgjRcFBTCrq88IaPA38jOGNnZqhzvDlRm90Gnnn7QaCQoZtsJ9ahfhm0ZE54ses3rKDdwQ.4wjOWBvcNCnnE50HWyTyYhHTIcGerRYBsr280nvDcOg&dib_tag=se&keywords=tamiya+weathering+powder+set&qid=1724776586&sprefix=%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-1
  3. Family values are so important, and yet seem to be lacking more and more as time goes on.
  4. Told you so!
  5. I like the idea of the Tamiya pastels. Looks like a good place to start experimenting. Thank you, gents!?
  6. Because I’m addicted to styrene. Man do I need a hit right now… I got back into it in the late 90’s for the nostalgia, but I’m not sure that still plays a part. As Steve said near the beginning of this discussion, it’s in large part about the love of the automobile. I’ll never be able to have all the cars I dream of in 1:1, but I can have just about anything I choose in scale. Also, I enjoy my time at the bench. It’s a great way to decompress and still keep the mind and hands busy.
  7. Slowly but surely, I’m pushing this one forward. Today I shot the second color for the interior. I’m planning on flocking it with dark brown. Should be interesting, as I’ve never tried it.
  8. Mail call. In my humble opinion, one of the sexiest machines on four wheels.
  9. You know how you can sand the treads on the rubber/vinyl tires supplied in most kits to get a used effect? How can you get that same effect on resin tires? Sanding would just remove paint. I’ve got a set I’m getting ready to finish that I plan to base coat with Tamiya rubber black, but what’s the next step to make them look like they’ve seen a few miles?
  10. Far, far away is where I’d like to be from where I am currently.
  11. That is seriously cool.?
  12. I’m not much of a low rider guy, but I really like this. The white with gold is stunning. Excellent job.?
  13. Today’s forecast is light, followed by darkness.
  14. About time!
  15. Reference material has become a vital part of this hobby for those interested in accuracy.
  16. Got the seat painted in MCW medium saddle just now. I really like the sheen. It’s pretty much exactly what I was hoping for. still might lightly weather it, just so it doesn’t look new.
  17. Today is Wednesday isn’t it?
  18. Mail call. Looks to be complete and unstarted. Box is really nice too.
  19. World domination is my long term goal, but for now I’d just be happy if I could rule my own roost.
  20. Another squirrel is calling my name from the shelf of despair.
  21. Do or do not, there is no try.
  22. Oatman is this guy’s nickname.
  23. I still have all my old Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars too. ?
  24. Awesome work you guys are doing! As some of you know, my other love is music. I’m passionate about guitar, and currently trying to put a garage band together with a few friends. It’s taking a lot of time away from modeling, but it’s worth it to me. I like to take it a step farther than just playing music though. I also enjoy building guitars, amps, and any other part of the signal chain. It’s a rewarding feeling to make music through gear that you created. Here are a couple of past projects that I built. Custom Jackson with black limba body. I spent six months hand applying and rubbing out the finish on this one. It’s my pride and joy. Mojotone one watt Marshall clone. Sounds like a quieter version of a jcm900. All hand wired.
  25. Years ago, I was years younger.
