  1. Really cool build! I've always had a big soft spot for old Formulas.
  2. Thank you Bruce!
  3. Thanks Andre. I love F1 cars too. And the older the better.
  4. Just got this one from the bay. I've been after one for a while now.
  5. Thought I'd show you guys what I've been up to lately (other than the P40-. This won't be a full work-in-progress thread, just a few pics thrown out here & there as I get sub-assemblies completed. This was a kit I had almost completed about 25 years ago. Had everything finished and then screwed up the clear coat on the one of the side panels. So guess what. Into the box it went, and there it has sat for all those years. I found it about a month ago and decided to take as much of it apart as I could and redo what I didn't like (most of it). This looked pretty good to me so I'm leaving it. Just polished it out and called it good. I just finished the transmission/rear suspension sub-assembly this weekend. Check it out. That's it for now. More to come.
  6. Sorry I'm taking so long between updates. I'm only doing a little here & there when I get time. Also, I don't want to rush thru it and not be happy with my results. I'm not in any hurry. Just a small update. Got the wing-root gaps filled & sanded. Really didn't go as nearly bad as I had expected. I'm just about ready for primer now.
  7. There are a lot of really good suggestions above. And here are a few more for you: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2305
  8. Hey you got her done! Looks great Joe! Really nice job.
  9. Beautiful models! Very well built. And the photography is great too.
  10. Great trade with Jim Stepanek (crazyjim). Thanks Jim.
  11. Stunning. I really like the color combination.
  12. Oh that's just plain wrong...
  13. Yeah, those are really nice bikes. Is that a Tamiya kit? Kinda had my eye on one. Nice job too! Wish someone would do a version of the old 80's Shadow or Magna.
  14. Really cool. I used to want a 1:1 version of this pretty bad when they were new.
  15. Gorgeous! Love the interior. Very well done.
  16. From one Hoosier to another, welcome aboard!
  17. Joe, this is looking great. Those pics of the engine... Wow. Where's the drooling smiley at?
  18. Great looking car. There's just something about a black charger.
  19. I don't usually get into low riders, but this is sweet. Nice job!
  20. Got the dihedral angle of the wings set today. I used Tamiya extra thin cement and it seems to have filled most of the gaps pretty well. Also knocked one of the exhausts loose while I was handling it. That should be fun to fix...
  21. I had no idea that this kit was of the car at Dearborn. I've seen it in person a couple of times and let me tell you, it is the most impressive motor-car I've ever seen up close. Absolutely gorgeous and huge. If you're ever in the Dearborn area, Henry Ford Museum is a must see. Also, it's attached to Greenfield Village (Henry Fords pet project) which is just loaded with history. I take my family back there every few years, and we never get tired of it.
  22. Just completed a flawless trade with tubbs (Al Matheny). Really great guy to deal with. Would do it again anytime. Thanks Al!
