  1. Hi, Perhaps here; http://www.eightyone81.com/ek001-nissan-vr38dett/ And here; https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-Tamiya-Nissan-RB26DETT-Engine-Kit-Resin-Skyline-R32-R33-R34/232647256031?hash=item362adb67df:g:TmsAAOSwYTVZo58H https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-Nissan-RB26DETT-Engine-Kit-Resin-Skyline-R32-R33-R34/232615185439?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D50544%26meid%3D0e1a3e11952245ee916fd79153092865%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D232647256031%26itm%3D232615185439&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 I know EightyOne had way more Nissan engines then they do now, but I don't really know who to ask over there. They could be either temp or perm out of em and only have 1 Nissan engine offering.
  2. Hi, This is very impressive, awesome in fact. I really like it.
  3. Hi, Wow very very crazy and cool. The paint scheme is very well executed!
  4. Hi, Wow thank you all for such kind words, I'm stoked!
  5. Hi, I got a new pressure gauge which is much more accurate then the previous one and I can now spray as low as 5PSI. The read out is nice and pleasant to read. I also modded my already fine Tamiya hand drill by adding an extra battery for some more power which gives me greater fine tuning. I also added a variable speed dial and swapped drill chucks which adds the ability to use super fine bits as well as larger bits. The drill mods can be undone easily as they are not permanent.
  6. Hi, These are gorgeous and very important period pieces. Worthy of display for sure.
  7. Hello sirs, Wow thank you for such flattering comments. Pumps me up. When I first saw the 959 on the cover of VW&Porsche magazine in 85'ish, my jaw dropped. I was like 4wd, and a wasser boxer, awesomeness! It has really nice lines, surprised no one has come out with a full detail 961 kit. Although I suppose one can combo Tamiyas 959 with it. I didn't as the initial purpose was a quick build.
  8. Hi, WOW, truly a work of art!!! These qualify for top shelf movie props in there perfection of subject matter!
  9. Hello and thank you very much for the kind replies. They boost my moral for sure! The kit itself went together very easily and had very little flash and has a nice decal sheet. It's a nice kit if you want something out for display quickly. There is some after market options like a nice PE set and the Rothmans decal set as well.
  10. Hi, This is gonna be SIK, love it!
  11. Hi and thank you sir, very very kind words.
  12. Hello and thank you sir. It does help indeed.
  13. Hello fellow builders, I embarked on this kit as a quicky to bring my moral up as my projects were bringing me down due to my many many errors and blunders. However this also turned out to be a downer and as such I barley got through it. My main issues were 3 fold; 1) I ruined the internal window decals by putting to much decal setting solution on them and resorted to pin stripe tape for outlining the edges. * I am now much more conservative with decal softener. 2) While my air brushing was finally going well, towards the end it started to sputter and it looked as though I was possessed by Jackson Pollock. I looked down at my compressor and it was off! The entire car was ruined with spots. So I turned on my compressor, loaded the pant cup with lacquer thinner and sprayed in hopes of re-liquefying the paint to even it out. * I now double check everything before spraying. 3) I ruined the dry transfer tire decals as I thought they were water slide. * I now know the difference between the 2 types. While the paint is very flawed, I couldn't bring myself to strip it down due to a few factors being that I simply didn't have it in me to start over and the windows were integrated into the body. At any rate it's done and I simply need to build more kits to be at the caliber I so desire. I forgot to list my mods; Fabricated headlight grills Swapped wheels/tires for ScaleProduction offerings. Fabricated driver window netting. Added some PE. Lowered and modified stance a bit. Used IndyCals tire decals. Added white bandage tape to seats for cloth simulation. Fabricated exhaust pipes.
  14. Hello, Curious what you all think is the best Viper GTS kit? Thanks in advance. I've read that the Revell version has serious fitment issues where as the AMT version goes together nicely.
  15. Hi, Eh, just do what I do, lie about it Actually some mods to the valve covers, heads and exhaust could make it more Italian Stallion etc..
  16. Hello and thank you for the replies.
  17. Hi, That's a real handsome car. I wonder if it will continue to be in public now and again or disappear from the surface of this planet. I'm thinking the latter which would be a shame.
  18. Hi, I found this site helpful in terms of sizing tires. Perhaps it can help you too. Once I have the values, I reduce by either 1/24 or 1/25 accordingly. https://robrobinette.com/tire_diameter.htm
  19. Hi, Yes indeed it is; https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10144981/70/1
  20. Hello, Curious if those who use a plastic glue + styrene mixture as a sort of micro filler could snap a photo? I'm curious about consistency.
  21. Hi, My best friend had a 924 after high school. I helped him work on it, boy did that car handle! No one wanted it so I helped pitch in a we got it. Just a regular old 924 that handled like no ones business. And it was pretty darn fast.
  22. Hello sir, No worries, and man this build is gonna be goooooood!
  23. Hi, Oooooo, drool... This is gonna be fantastic.
  24. Hi, Wow, a delightful story so thanks for veering off topic.
  25. Hi, Wow another JC Gem! Phenomenal!
