  1. Hi, This looks really really really good. Perfect actually.
  2. Hi, Quick update, after posting I decided to redo the distributor wiring in order to better show the Chaparral decals I placed on the valve covers. Much cleaner I think.
  3. Hi, Ok this project is still coming along. I had to strip the chassis again as even though the pictures didn't show, it had a lot of crazing from previous stripping sessions. I used primer/filler and sanded the hell out of it. But not being to get all the nooks and crannies smooth, I applied Future as a filler/leveler. I then switched to air brushing Tamiya flat aluminum acrylic as I noticed it has a somewhat filling/rubber property and finally have it where I want it. I detailed the tub a bit even though few if any will notice once the model is assembled, but I'll know.
  4. Hi, I recently discovered the benefits of decanting Tamiya and it does seem to last longer. Most likely due to better control as Ace stated. Plus I cut it with Mr. Leveler which adds to longevity. I fill a 60ml bottle from a Tamiya can, that's a lot of paint!
  5. Hi, Indeed they are VERY dainty to say the lest. I'm thinking to instead gently and uniformly sand the backs as the flash looks like a sort of film. I'll try and contact Harold of HRM to see what he suggests.
  6. Hi and thank you sir. That's actually kinda cool.
  7. Hi, I had just gotten a bottle of Alcald Primer ALC302 and it seems to have beebees inside, is this correct?
  8. Hi, Well, if 50's era Maseratis will do, Fein Designs has a 56' 300s; http://fein-design-modell.de/category/verfuegbar/ And Profll24 has a rather nice 53' Lancia D20; http://www.profil24-models.com/model-kits-modeles-reduits/en/gamme-au-1-24e/255-lancia-d20-le-mans-1953-targa-florio-1953-124.html And a few 51' DB2; http://www.profil24-models.com/model-kits-modeles-reduits/en/gamme-au-1-24e/233-1-24-kit-aston-martin-db2-n26-le-mans-1951-profil24-models.html I've seen Climax 1/24 DB4 Zagatos on eBay now and again, here is some info on it; https://www.scalemates.com/kits/992661-climax-1-aston-martin-db-4-gt-zagato Here are some Aurora DB4; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aurora-Aston-Martin-DB-4-1-25-Scale-Model-Kit-w-Orig-Box/382287365282?hash=item59021a44a2:g:v~YAAOSw-olaDzIG https://www.ebay.com/itm/AURORA-ASTON-MARTIN-DB-4-562-1965-ISSUE-VINTAGE-1-25-Model-Car-Mountain/362136066569?hash=item5450fdda09:g:T48AAOSwOA1Z6Llt
  9. Hi, there is a Volki 1/24 slot kit version of this car I believe. HRM has this one in 1/24, I bought myself one. MFH has a 1/24 full detail of which I bought one. Also Profile24 has a nice curb side of it as well.
  10. Hi, Wow, totally worthy of public display. Just perfect!
  11. Hi, I've taken front and rear shots, they are 3 piece wheels. It seems it's a film that I can simply sand off from the back?
  12. Hi, Wow I like the look if that high performance V8 engine. Could in fact be a nice kit.
  13. Hi, I'll take some really good ones tonight. But as I recall, they seem more on the outside rather then in between. I was thinking to simply sand that side closest to the flash.
  14. Hi, I recently purchased HRMs wonderful 1/24 Borrani wheels. Curious how you would go about removing the flash from in between the very tiny and delicate wheel spokes?
  15. Hi, So is it this Sunday? I can't wait for the surprise news!
  16. Hi, Testors Clear Parts Cement and Window Maker is supposed to allow you to even build up clear parts. http://www.michaels.com/testors-clear-parts-cement-and-window-maker/10133745.html?mkwid=sWjxfbb2I|pcrid|221603831474|pkw||pmt||pdv|c|prd|10133745&cm_mmc=zadv_PLASearch-_-google-_-kids-_-kids-models-trains-rc-model-making-paints&utm_source=google&utm_term=&utm_campaign=kids&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=sWjxfbb2I|pcrid|221603831474|pkw||pmt||pdv|c|prd|10133745&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIit3w2MDk1wIVB2p-Ch2oPQpgEAQYAiABEgJ_xPD_BwE
  17. Hi and thank you sirs. They are indeed Indaycals which are superb.
  18. Hi, I'm not familiar with either but all in all they are built up beautifully! Wow, just soo nice.
  19. Hi and thank you sir. This build has taught me the deep value of surface prep. As I came to find out that my paint woes with regards to the chassis and Alclad were due to an orange peeled surface of the styrene. My young eye so to speak did not catch this at first, or second, or third etc...
  20. Hi, This is very very nice and clean, love it. I would have liked more shots though, it's deserving of photo session for sure.
  21. Hi, Lovely body of work. Very very very nice.
  22. Hi, This is seriously righteous!
  23. Hi, This is killer and right up my alley. Thanks for posting!
  24. Hi, Got final paint on chassis and body. Will wait a few days before I even touch them.
  25. Hi and thank you both for such kind words. It was a great learning experience.
