Hi, This looks really really really good. Perfect actually.

Hi, Quick update, after posting I decided to redo the distributor wiring in order to better show the Chaparral decals I placed on the valve covers. Much cleaner I think.

Hi, Ok this project is still coming along. I had to strip the chassis again as even though the pictures didn't show, it had a lot of crazing from previous stripping sessions. I used primer/filler and sanded the hell out of it. But not being to get all the nooks and crannies smooth, I applied Future as a filler/leveler. I then switched to air brushing Tamiya flat aluminum acrylic as I noticed it has a somewhat filling/rubber property and finally have it where I want it. I detailed the tub a bit even though few if any will notice once the model is assembled, but I'll know.

Spray paint = throwing paint away?
aurfalien replied to Lovefordgalaxie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hi, I recently discovered the benefits of decanting Tamiya and it does seem to last longer. Most likely due to better control as Ace stated. Plus I cut it with Mr. Leveler which adds to longevity. I fill a 60ml bottle from a Tamiya can, that's a lot of paint! -
Remoing flash from tiny wheel spokes
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi, Indeed they are VERY dainty to say the lest. I'm thinking to instead gently and uniformly sand the backs as the flash looks like a sort of film. I'll try and contact Harold of HRM to see what he suggests. -

Hi, I had just gotten a bottle of Alcald Primer ALC302 and it seems to have beebees inside, is this correct?

Hi, there is a Volki 1/24 slot kit version of this car I believe. HRM has this one in 1/24, I bought myself one. MFH has a 1/24 full detail of which I bought one. Also Profile24 has a nice curb side of it as well. -
Hi, Wow, totally worthy of public display. Just perfect!

Remoing flash from tiny wheel spokes
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi, I've taken front and rear shots, they are 3 piece wheels. It seems it's a film that I can simply sand off from the back? -
Remoing flash from tiny wheel spokes

Hi, I'll take some really good ones tonight. But as I recall, they seem more on the outside rather then in between. I was thinking to simply sand that side closest to the flash. -

Hi, Testors Clear Parts Cement and Window Maker is supposed to allow you to even build up clear parts. http://www.michaels.com/testors-clear-parts-cement-and-window-maker/10133745.html?mkwid=sWjxfbb2I|pcrid|221603831474|pkw||pmt||pdv|c|prd|10133745&cm_mmc=zadv_PLASearch-_-google-_-kids-_-kids-models-trains-rc-model-making-paints&utm_source=google&utm_term=&utm_campaign=kids&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=sWjxfbb2I|pcrid|221603831474|pkw||pmt||pdv|c|prd|10133745&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIit3w2MDk1wIVB2p-Ch2oPQpgEAQYAiABEgJ_xPD_BwE -

Comparing the AMT and Revell 1940 Ford Coupes.
aurfalien replied to Lovefordgalaxie's topic in Model Cars
Hi, I'm not familiar with either but all in all they are built up beautifully! Wow, just soo nice. -
Hi and thank you sir. This build has taught me the deep value of surface prep. As I came to find out that my paint woes with regards to the chassis and Alclad were due to an orange peeled surface of the styrene. My young eye so to speak did not catch this at first, or second, or third etc...

Hi, This is very very nice and clean, love it. I would have liked more shots though, it's deserving of photo session for sure.

Hi, Lovely body of work. Very very very nice.

Hi, This is seriously righteous!
