  1. Hi and thank you sir. It's going, the model still looks shiny and tomorrow I may wet sand a lil to remove a tiny bit of orange peel on the rear deck lid. Other then that she is still remarkably shiny and smooooooth! If I wet the the rear deck, I'll shoot another light coat and decal over the weekend.
  2. Hi, A few places have biggies; Iceman Collections https://www.icemancollections.com/products/resin-intercooler-w-2-twin-turbo-small-or-big?variant=50617763268 And here; Hobby Designs https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-Hobby-Design-HD03-0393-Turbo-Charger-Kit-Big-Size-Set-of-3/282538672546?hash=item41c89e01a2:g:fskAAOSwfZ1WY4Dl I bought the complete set of Hobby Designs turbos and intercoolers but can no longer find em. I've also bought Tamiya 956 kits for cheap to raid there turbo/engine/wheels etc...
  3. Hi, Glad I could be useful. Now if I could only get that darn 308 done, I'd be happy. I'm very close, its been curing for a few days. Will revisit it tomorrow night.
  4. Hi, It did? Cool, I was some how thinking it wouldn't. I was thinking this as things break more often then work.
  5. Hi, Wow, simply put; a superb build! Love it!
  6. Hi Greg, While not 100%, this plugin has helped me view PB based image links; https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/photobucket embed fix?hl=en-US There are two of them from different developers. Try both to see which you like best.
  7. Hi, This is a very very nicely done subject! The colors and execution are awesome.
  8. Hi, Oh my lord, Gravity Colors has a Titanium White!!! I've emailed them for more info.
  9. Hi, This is a good point. Too bad PB was so Draconian about there price model change. Almost felt like a guillotine.
  10. Hi, W0W, PB is lame. Sure, it was free for like 10 years or so. I lament at all the valuable posts with PB links of ppl now deceased. At any rate on to the next freebie.
  11. Hi, The titanium white mixture sounds like the bomb but seems a bit too involved for me at this time. I've decided to go Tamiya Pure White TS-26 as a top coat with Tamiya Fine White Surface Primer on top of a grey primer that I need to help spot imperfections. Although I will do a spoon test on mixing 5% blue with white, both being Tamiya acrylics. I'll post my findings here.
  12. Hi and thank you sirs. I'll lightly primer in grey as it helps me see any imperfections and follow with a white primer.
  13. Hi, W0W! Über clean and precise build. Love it. Do you have any crafting experience in general, seems like you are a natural.
  14. Hi, I'm curious if any one has achieved a very bright white paint job and if so, would you mind sharing? Does it make sense to use a bright metallic blue of sorts as a primer to enhance a white top coat?
  15. Hi, Well, by no means an expert but I'm seeing the benfits and wisdom of thinning Tamiya acrylics with lacquer. I've also noticed better mixing of Tamiya acrylics when using lacquer vs alcohol as a thinner.
  16. Hi and than you sir. I sanded the heck out of the body, every square CM seemingly had some issues. I also managed to cut out some spaces for mesh etc...
  17. Hi and thank you sir. I'm excited to finally finish her. I'll have to keep on my A game to avoid further mistakes. It's getting very close though.
  18. Hi, This is excellent, very clean and perfect!
  19. Hi, OOOOOO, now I'm gettin me sum Cuda fever. This is awesome!!!
  20. Hi, This is one absolutely bad a$$ project. W0W!!!
  21. Hi, I feel comfortable enough starting on Eds Monogram Chaparral 2 Coupe kit which was a 2D Daytona. I plan to shoot the chassis in Alclad Aluminum and the body in a bright shiny white. To me Ed was an angel of sorts so I will make it as bright a white as possible and ideas on this are welcome as I'm unsure how to achieve a truly bright white. I test fit a carb stack and distributor and cut out areas for a brass mesh. The tires are awesome HRM GT40 and I'm using the Plamoz stuff for seat covers. The wheels are from one of my failed Chappy projects.
  22. Hi, Ok so after ANOTHER stripping as I went to wet with the Future solution and it was horribly peel like, I decided to go Taimya Orange thinned ~60/40 thinner to paint. It was too orange as I ran out of red, so I mixed in a bit of clear red. I initially shot just clear red but it didn't turn out as I had parts more red then others. The body nor I could withstand yet another stripping so I tried to fix. I mixed orange with a bit of clear red and shot at ~20PSI 4-6" away. This is after about an hour of dry, I'll let it cure for a few days before decals. I may at that point try to dull it down but fear screwing up the paint so lets see what happens. It's not as good as it was detail wise due to all the striping and sanding plus some rivets came off and I didn't have it in me to put new ones on. At this point I want to be done and move on to me memorial build. By the way, since stripping will be part of my daily life, I got SuperClean which next to ELO, is the best stripper. My building skills are outpacing my paint skills but I hope to have that under control soon. I simply need more paint time is all.
  23. Hi, W0W this is fantastiK!!!
