Hi, Well being a noob I don't really feel comfortable giving you any advice. However after watching Don Yosts video, and applying his technique, I am starting to achieve paint jobs that I am very happy with. Of the many things he touches on, two stand out; 1) Most ppl stop at two to three coats of paint. He applies several. 2) Most ppl don't really prep there primer surfaces. He makes em perfect and shiny as if they were a almost final coat. I've watched several YouTube vids and most seem to echo these mistakes. At any rate I'm still learning and paint is my major weakness. However armed with the two points above, I feel much better about the future.

Enhancing Tamiya Handy Drill
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi, Well I'm unsure but it does include 2 chucks that fit most of my bits. But for the really small ones I've other chucks that fit. Seems pretty versatile. This video covers the chucks; And these collets/chucks are supposed to fit; https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=proxxon+28940&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=238273474222&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=224074518060420823&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031019&hvtargid=kwd-300377467891&ref=pd_sl_5wc9ps0gq1_e -

Hi, So I ordered a potentiometer and the Tamiya 15186 JR Plasma Dash Motor and will update once I got this all working. The reason for the high RPM motor is to have a better range of tuning. I enjoy hacking things etc... hence why the interest in this other wise banal topic. -
Enhancing Tamiya Handy Drill

Hi, I've decided to go the opposite route and slow down the motor which gives me better control. -
Hi, Has any one done mods to there Tamiya Handy Drill besides replacing the plastic bushing with bearings? I was thinking to up the motor to Tamiya 15186 JR Plasma Dash Motor. The stock motor is 12K RPM while this new one does ~24K. Curious if any one has done a brushless conversion? I'm sure an additional circuit board would be in order as well. Any thoughts/ideas are welcome.

Hi, After some research, I found that the PE is part of a larger KA Models detail set for the Fujimi 356. I did contact Upscale Hobbies who got back to me quickly which I liked. They can get it so I am mulling this one over. However as with anything from KA, it's tad over a Benjamin. The PE heads/fins are really what I'm excited about. More info the detail set; http://ka-models.co.kr/?product=124-356-speedster-deluxe-pack-for-fujimi&ckattempt=1 -

aurfalien replied to Samuel S's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hi, While I really enjoy my H&S AB, but I'm unsure that I would recommend it for all. I got mine due to Amazon points. There support is also very very good as well. As are there support videos. Honestly it's a bit advanced for me being a knuckle head. But I'll grow into it -
Harder and Steenbeck Infinity Airbrush 2 in 1 Set
aurfalien replied to Samuel S's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hi, This is a great air brush, feels extremely nice and balanced in hand. However accessories are expensive and there smaller sized needles/nozzles are not coded so it's possible to mix up. Also, a small point but there needles are 1.5mm, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm etc... I prefer odd sizes like 3mm, 5mm etc... Lastly, this one (non CR) is nickel plated, the newer CR version is chrome plated which I prefer. I think it's more suited to fine arts. -

P.E. Saw Blade Recommendations?
aurfalien replied to Dodge Driver's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi, Happy New Years! I like these but they are not super stiff. Pros are you can curve around stuff but cons are that they bend easy. https://www.scalemotorsport.com/tools/stainless-steel-saw-blade-set.html -
