Kit Review Pagani Huayra From Aoshima
aurfalien replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Insane kit, why did I buy this? Way way way beyond my abilities to build right. Oh well, I'll still enjoy having it around. -
Hi, They'll be back open come January but does anyone have the C1 wide body kit for the C7 Vette? Curious how it really looks.

Overhaulin; Foose Europa
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I can see echos of this car in a Fiero. I would've liked to have seen a fatter, taller profile of tire in the Foose version. But I must say that Monsignor Chip is awesome. I enjoy his show but wished his cast was more serious like him. There's a bit of cheese in that garage at times. -
Hi, Has any one checked the Overhaulin episode where Chip Foose rebuilt a 72' Lotus Europa? OMG, totally richter scale! Totally dope! http://www.chipfoose.com/ws_display.asp?filter=Overhaulin_Season_6_Lotus

Here here, I ditto that. Merry Christmas. Got some amazing bubbly chillin and havin a tasty SweetP House Margy; Ingredients; 3 oz of good tequila, I prefer a good quality anejo. 1 oz of simple syrup you make your self (sugar water). 1.5 oz of Gran Gala, better and cheaper then Cointreau. 1 oz of Trader Joes organice cherry juice small amount of jalapeno with seeds (or w/o seeds). 1 entire lime, cut in 1/2 half This salt; http://www.salttraders.com/products/Margarita-Salt.html Procedure; Fill a shaker mostly with ice. Put in; Tequila Simple syrup Gran Gala Cherry juice Squeezed lime juice from both halves Jalapeno Shake that baby like you're in a music video. Final; Rub the squeezed lime half on the rim of your drinking glass so the salt can stick to it Place salt in a bowl and rub the rim of the glass in it Pour in the goodness. Bayam. ** I’ve been substituting seltzer water OR ginger beer in place of cherry juice. Just some ideas. ** I’ve also been making sugar free simple syrup by substituting Splenda

This one looks really bad a$$; http://www.indycals.net/parts/indyparts/resinoffy.html He also has the turbo/exhaust set for it here; http://www.shapeways.com/product/FLRRCJ7JA/1976-mclaren-exhaust-and-intake?optionId=19247636 What do you think? -
Nicest 4 banger; your thoughts.
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow some bad a$$ posts for sure. I've always been partial to inline 4's and preferred them over V6. In my limited tuner experience, the V6 seemed a crappy out of balance engine but I digress. But like I said, not much extended experience to have messed with a naturally well behaved V6. I think a flat 6 is awesome however. My vote goes to the Offy though in terms of looks and performance for its day. With today's crazy ignition systems, I bet you can really pump out ponies from an Offy. -

Wow, thanks for the GREAT info! -
Hi, Curious if the community has an opinion on Offy engine comparisons between ARM and Revell? ARM; http://americanracingminiatures.com/?product=esca-3-125th-scale-270255-offenhauser-engine-kit Revell; http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4267.pdf I'm thinking the Revell both in terms of material and part count.

Do you think the AMT IMSA Camero would be a slightly better starting point engine wise, or at least not a worse one? -

I dunno but based on your post and whats available, I'll use the Grand Sport -
Hi, Wondering if any one knows of a 1/25-1/24 Scarab MK4 engine source? The intakes looks very unique.

I just learned something front his post. It's to dust off the model before taking some pics. The rear has a ton of dust spots on it as do the tires, bummer.
-
http://www.clearlyscale.com/product/vector-style-wheels-kdw-tires-sets They come in 3 sizes. BTW, I added the nuts etc...

Thanks Foxer. I left the paint as is with minor buffing as I really liked its matte look. Gravity Paints are amazing to me.

Yea man, those wheels are dope! He's got a lot of cool wheels and his engines look killer. He is doing a CZ V16 for me that I've planned for an Aerovette project.

Thank you very much Dan; aka Yoda, your builds are crazy good! This is an AMT 1/25 05' Ford GT.
