  1. Hi, Many many thanks for the advice and compliments on my builds. I'm excited about my next one being half way done; Fujimi F40LM. Hoping this weekend will be it.
  2. Hi, My deep condolences. A dear friend who I also happen to meet here on the forums passed recently, hence my absence. Coming here reminds me of him so it saddens me much. His wife asked I not mention his passing, hence no name. PS I would like to add that Harry for me, was encouraging in my model building endeavors. I would always look forward to his posts and replies to my latest builds. He was for certain, a craftsmen to the utmost degree.
  3. Hi all, The experience was very very cool. But it was loooong. I got there when it opened about 7:30ish and the judging was like at 1PM. I left around 2 and they had not even announced winners. I just can't sit still that long. However now that I know what to expect, perhaps I won't show up as early. So correction, perhaps I will go to another one.
  4. Hi Party People, I went to the Ventura model show a while back to sell some stuff and decided to enter a few kits. I met some super cool ppl and had a nice time. No winner but was n exciting experience. I will most likely not do this again.
  5. Hi, Dayam, next year aye. Oh well. Thanks for the post.
  6. Hi, I too enjoy these vids. Hey I don't see any other scale model company doing vids. Good going Round2!!!
  7. Hi, Would any one happen to know ETA of there Bruce Larson USA-1 Pro Stock Vega? There site says coming in 2017 which I'm pretty sure we are in now
  8. Oooo, nice! Hope you have nice product pics of his warez. He's got a lot of new wheels that I can't find pics for. At any rate, nice job on the HRM centric store. I'll check it out or sure.
  9. Hi, Norm sets the bar and is AAA 100%. It's amazing just how many different parts he offers. His catalogue is crazy. I'm also happy he sells for HRM who is as elusive as Big Foot. In fact I think the Finding Big Foot crew should do an episode; Finding Harold from HRM.
  10. OOOOOO, nice nugget, thanks man!
  11. Hi, I knew you'd know. Yep yep, will get to work on scratch build. Thanks monsignor.
  12. Hi, Probably my favorite exhaust tips/ends on race cars. Would any one happen to know where I can get some?
  13. Hmmm, wow sounds cool. I'll try it!
  14. Hi, Many thanks for the nuggets. Much appreciate it.
  15. Hi, I've been messing around with build techniques and finding myself temporarily gluing a kit together for both fit and visual purposes. It seems to really help, I just don't have enough experience to feel super confident or familiar with how a kits gonna turn out before hand. I bought Microscale Liquitape but prefer good old Elmers white glue. The Liquitape gets gooey and hard to remove. Plus it seems you need a solvent for optimum removal. Were as Elmers seems to come off real easy on both plastic or resin. What are your thoughts and experiences with temp gluing? Thanks in advance.
  16. I've used a heat gun to form a windshield. Do some practice runs to figure out best technique.
  17. I certainly wish him well to an order of magnitude. If you look up his name on Amazon, you'll find interesting publications. Mostly model car related but this one is very interesting, a cook book; https://www.amazon.com/Dads-Cookbook-His-Kids-stories/dp/1494282844/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1485096240&sr=8-9&keywords=harry+pristovnik Writing a book s very tedious and consuming. I've written short white papers and FAQs and those were hard enough. Harry seems a pretty multi dimensional and a very interesting man.
  18. Bought the kit, bayam; https://plus.google.com/photos/108919935749683787214/albums/6142461865685861857?banner=pwa
  19. Hi AFX, Figures you are in the know on just about every thing automotive Thank you very much!
  20. Hi, Is any one familiar with them? I'm hot and heavy over one of there kits; a 1/24 Dino 206SP, and haven't been able to get a hold of them.
  21. Oh sorry. I have Evergreen in various thicknesses both clear and white. All are smooth.
