  1. Oooooo, nice paint line up! I know Gravity has there own gloss but there paints polish/buff nicely on there own.
  2. Hi, I was able to correct via super glue down the inside edge were the body meets the chassis. Basically as you said, anchor the warped body to a straight chassis. In this case the chassis is nice and thick. Since warpage was slight, the correction worked wonderfully. Thanks to Tamiya for developing there tape, I used it to help keep things together while the glue dried. Funny, I initially complained about the tape but have since found 100%, my gripes are due to lack of experience and not the products.
  3. Wow, that looks kewlll! I like it!!!
  4. Wow Tom, that's brilliant!
  5. Thanks for the many replies, very informative. And they woke me up, what the hell was I thinking even contemplating this hideousness?
  6. Hi, Of all the 1/24 kits if this car; Heller MPC AirFix Which is the most accurate and/or best looking? Or are they simply re issues of one another?
  7. Wow beautiful, very clean. Can you do some close ups?
  8. Yep, I just got it and works wonderfully! I did clean it up a bit first as some kind of grease is used to preserve/anit-rust the material.
  9. Wow, some really fun-cool kits Revell has planned. Brake rotors and door panels aside, they sure put out fun looking kits for a very reasonable price.
  10. Well, the problem with agitators is that they can introduce bubbles. If your jar is big enough, like with Tamiya acrylics, I slowly stir for a good bit. I've used a lot of stirrers and the best for me is the Tamiya paint stirrer. My Vallejos are in tiny bottles so in those cases, I use a stainless steal bearing (others will rust) and shake it up good, giving it a few for the bubbles to dissipate. I still thin them in a palette for further smoothing.
  11. Wow, those look coooool!
  12. WOW, man that looks like a ton of work! Insane 2da membrane fo shizzle! WOW, crazy!
  13. Killer! I've there Ferrari wide body kit. They seem very good quality.
  14. Super clean and super cool!
  15. This is killer, love the paint scheme you've chosen. Also, great engine work, love the colored lettering.
  16. Hi, Well not to chime in as I know so little. But in my experience Pledge Floor Care Finish works wonderfully as a barrier and can be removed via Ammonia (like Windex). Alcohol or lacquer thinner seems to have no effect on it.
  17. Bill, the funny thing about your initial post of this in response to the other Wizard named Bill is that my wife bought this stuff as a sealer/rust stopper on our first floor patio as the contractor drove long nails on the second floor patio which showed up down stairs. I was like "Hey, some gnarly wizard dudes form the MCM forum swear by this stuff".
  18. Wow Greg, that's crazy crazing! Sorry to see that happened to you. Has happened to me many a time! This post may help;
  19. Well, either way I'm excited to have bought one. Although I realize that the professionals are let down for the reasons you stated which seem very valid to me. But as a noob, man this kit is hot! I've realized that scale building is a very serious profession, something I loose track of due to how much fun I'm having. And there are a lot of pros on this forum.
  20. Ok, I get it. Interesting points. So then how could this have passed both the design phase and several phases of QC? Is Revel out sourcing there work flow?
  21. Unsure cost but you can always inquire about some custom decal sets; https://imagetransfers.com/?gclid=CJyrw4bC0M8CFYOTfgodf10HYA
  22. All this over rotors? I think the rest of the kit has serious merit. Forgot to add that it wouldn't take much effort for me to fix the brakes, and I'm a noob. Some after market Brembo style brake sets from Hobby Design, Fujimi or Scale Motor Sports runs $14 shipped.
  23. I agree with you, good points.
  24. I found this which may decrease the need to be an expert in the use of a full blown 3D modeling app; http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/27360-gravity-sketch-launches-a-kickstarter-campaign.html?etId=118551664&utm_source=sw-email-2&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20161009-Gravity-Sketch Pretty exciting stuff.
  25. That Profil24 kit looks really really good! I've one of there newer kits, very clean castings, very heavy body. There older kits were a bit messy but they've made concerted efforts to clean things up. They really are a solid company, as is LeMans Miniatures, both being based in France.
