  1. For 1964, this Imperial would do just fine. In this colour too, please.

    Super job on the weathering!
  3. Richard, that is a stunning amount of work you've done here, and it's all top notch! Love it!
  4. Beautiful work!
  5. I like that. Very nice!
  6. How 'bout some nail polish? The sky is the limit on colours available...
  7. That is sooooo nice! I've got a '64 330 on the go myself. Love that body style.
  8. Very nice!
  9. I use lacquer thinner to cut the nail polish. It sprayed out really well... thinking I'll be using nail polish a lot more as the colour variety seems endless. I didn't use my airbrush - i find it difficult to keep everything wet with an airbrush - i used a mini HVLP paint gun with a .8 tip.
  10. I'm a Mopar guy, but this Chevy looks fantastic! Nice job!
  11. Mopar madness continues... Painted with Root Beer coloured nail polish. It'll have a black interior and chrome Magnum 500 rims instead of the kit-supplied rally wheels.
  12. It fits under there... I narrowed the floor pan after cutting the side frame rails off. Flattened some of the contours on the floor and put the side rails back on so they fit inside the Lincoln body. Narrowed the rear suspension crossmember and am able to keep the Nascar suspension intact. Took some material off of the inner rear fenders so the tires fit... still tight but there's lots of plastic there yet. Loped off the front clip and extended it to fit the stock front wheel openings, which had to be hogged out to fit those Nascar tires. Plated where the frame was extended for added strength. I'll leave the front crossmember in place and will make another one, moving it rearward to mount the engine to. Those Nascar tires look HUGE...
  13. I really like that! So Cool!
  14. So very nice! Loving the red wheels!
  15. Nice job! I got that kit for my birthday back around '74 or so... Never built it (Allison was the enemy - I was a Petty fan!) and it sat on the shelf for years. I think it went to a rummage sale donation some time after I moved away. Wish I had taken it with me...
  16. Rooster's first ride... very nice!
  17. Very nice!
  18. Thanks for the comments. It was fun to build, already looking around to see what else I can customize. I just use some black wash for the panel lines. I thought it might be too dark, especially on a white car... ?
  19. Beautiful job!
  20. Now appearing in the Under Glass section.
  21. I've been picking at this since the summer, finally finished it up this morning. Had a lot of fun doing the customizing and exterior paint work, should have planned the interior our before winter and not-so-friendly-paint-weather set in. Brush painting isn't my favourite! Chrysler Cool Vanilla car paint with Model Master Burgundy on the roof, followed by two coats of over-thinned ProSpray automotive clear. For some reason, the thinned out burgundy ended up as brown, but I like it. A light ivory and nail polish Copper interior with a brown dash. I made the floating bar grill, robbed a speaker of its' mesh for the background, and painted my own wide whites with chrome reverse rims from a '49 Merc (I think?). Tunneled the headlights, shaved most of the trim, glued the doors shut, made the flush skirts, lowering blocks in the rear, etc... I'm pretty sure this is the first of many customs. Did a lot of it in real life, on full size cars, but this is really the first time doing it in 1/25th.
  22. So very nice! Really good colour selection.
  23. Love that body style... so classy looking! I'd opt for a red top with the black and white interior, if it were mine.
  24. It sits nice...
