  1. Assortment of odd parts thrown together. ? Bonus pic, , ,
  2. yea, there was an issue with a '40 Ford look.
  3. Yup you posted while I was looking for a pic but yes, your correct on both counts. Here's a pic of a stock '61 Caddy cap,,
  4. They did. The annual kits were based on the promo tooling. I always thought they looked dead on to me.
  5. That one is identical to my old one ,, only in MUCH better shape. And I think the lowrider crowd would buy out the production run just by themselves.
  6. In no order and I reserve the right to make changes and/or additions. Doug and the Slugs , , , Music for the hard of thinking Men at Work , , Business as Usual Rick Springfield , , , Living in Oz The Police , , , Ghost in the Machine and mentioned in another list, ABC , , ,The Lexicon of Love
  7. Matt, did you get "The Lexicon of Love II" the follow-up that came out in 2016? No radio hits as there's no songs on it written by and middle aged Swedes but a solid album in the same vein as the original.
  8. Well ain't that just lovely. Would have saved me a lot of work. ? [but it was still fun?]
  9. That sounds very encouraging. ?
  10. Steve, I guess there's not much chance that the rear bumper was narrowed so it fits properly, would there? It's not "that" bad but it should fit flush.
  11. The chassis from the earlier Firebirds is now under the '79 that was issued a few years ago. I think the Camaro chassis is identical but there may be some very small differences. I know the only way I could tell them apart was sometimes the color of the plastic. I have an original '73 Camaro and '74 Firebird I could check later if you like.
  12. Hecklefish fart.
  13. Michael why don't you get some and try it and let us know how it works out.
  14. You do realize that tooling is over 60 years old, right?
  15. Thanks for the link Rich. That model looks fantastic, but to me, it doesn't look like chrome, although it does look better then what I did last night. Good to know that decals won't stick to the AK stuff though and you figure the Revell is about the same? I was planning to use it on some 1/144 airliner models I have so now I know to look out for that.
  16. Ok, so show us some pics. You know what they say , "No pics, it didn't happen". ? For me, it's good but not perfect. Any dulling would put it into the "pointless" territory for me.
  17. I just tried brushing some strait from the bottle on some Revell chrome that had been drying for a few weeks ,,, dulled it.
  18. Okey may still be alive and strong but JoHan certainly is not. Like Bob said, the only thing he has right now is the JoHan name and some assorted parts. I highly doubt he even has any licensing from any car companies to produce the models anymore. The only good thing about the JoHan Road Runners was the bodies anyway. Round2 would be much better off just scanning a real Road Runner and using it to create a new body for their existing chassis. After all, that's about what most builders who want to build a more serious replica do, just use the body parts and swap out a much better chassis. This has been gone over again and again on this board so many times it should be a pinned topic. ?
  19. It was originally the "Horn Toad" kit before the questionable "update".
  20. How big is this thing, Mark? I know it's 1/144. Looks to be about the length of a 707, is that about right?
  21. Sounds like you're a good candidate for the "Traditional Rods and Kustoms in Scale" site. They are focused on rods customs and drag racing from the early days up to the late '60s with 1970 being the cutoff date for models. Great bunch of excellent builders on there, don't know why they let me in but I've been a member for years. They have slowed down over the years but it's still active. https://trakinscale.proboards.com/
  22. Except when they're completely and hilariously wrong. ?
  23. I've been wondering if the "crossover" element had something to do with it? [although it really shouldn't] A lot of country got on the top 40 lists in the '70s and '80s. most notably Kenny and Dolly's "Islands in the Stream" which spent 16 or 17 weeks in the top 40. BTW, that was written by The BeeGees and, IIRC, produced my Lionel Ritchie. [I think] But, yea, if Dolly's in then I think Kenny should also be at least nominated as he was at least originally a rock act with "The First Edition".
  24. Pretty cool Joe. I'd love to have seen The Spoons but I doubt I will, not very many bands get this far east these days.
