The Revell and Monogram 1/24 scale mustangs are the same kits. There's probably a 1/2 dozen different '65/'66 Mustang kits between them. Should be pretty easy to find one. It'd be a lot easier to use the kit intended then modifying the resin to fit the smaller 1/25 kit.

67 AMT Camaro convertible question
Can-Con replied to hedotwo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yea, Would have been nice if he even responded to my e-mail but no go. I've still bought PE from him though as there's not a lot of alternatives. I had wanted to build the car from "Better Off Dead". -
67 AMT Camaro convertible question
Can-Con replied to hedotwo's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hope it looks better then the set I got from them. The main "CAMARO" block letters for the fenders were , well, I guess short shot would be the best way to put it. There's 4 of them and not one was useable and a couple weren't there at all. I had e-mailed him about it but never heard back. -
Why does it show a '67/'68 car on the box but say it's for the '65/'66 kit? Is it designed to use the 1/24 Monogram '65/'66 Mustangs?

That's how the hit man gets paid for "wet work". He takes "The Job" and then puts something stupid on e-bay with a ridiculous price that happens to be how much he asks to do "The Job" You "buy now" the item for the ridiculous price in actuality paying for "The Job". All nice and clean and looks good on the books and if anyone happens to start asking questions.

Ever get e-mails saying they have naughty videos of you from your computer camera when you've never ever had a computer camera? ?

1968 Mercury M100
Can-Con replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That's pretty well it Kris. Here in Canada the GM dealers were broke down as "Chev/Olds/Caddy" and "Pontiac/Buick/GMC". -

"soary aboot yer hewse". ? ,,Really? pretty offensive there Chuck. Some of us find it funny, most are too polite to say how they really feel about it. , , ,Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. ?? Seeing how you work for a Canadian company, you should go into work tomorrow and greet your boss like that. ?? Anyway, nice build. The turbo is a nice touch. -
Exact same kit. The RoG kit probably has better decals and instruction sheet though. This is a newer tooling kit, so, no there isn't a better one.

1970 Dodge Challenger Kits - Whose is best?
Can-Con replied to jjsipes's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
FWIW, MPC '74 Challenger , , , I plan to get around to this one soon. AMT chassis with a 340. Black paint/argent around headlights and tail lights, white with black interior and white side strobe stripes. Have everything to do it, just need to get a start. ? -
After getting the color on I discovered a few more areas that needed attention.

1970 Dodge Challenger Kits - Whose is best?
Can-Con replied to jjsipes's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how bad the shape of the top of the side window opening is on the AMT roof. Am I the only one seeing this? It has much more of an upward arch then it should have. -
They are in the current kit shown above and it's last reissue. They were also in the original sedan/phaeton version and I think the reissue from a few years ago, but not sure. Some of the worse box are ever on those reissued switchers kits. Checked my copy of the release below earlier today, it does have those chrome headers in it.

I highly suspect the 4 cylinder Honda engine in the chopper included with the MPC '79and '80 Monte Carlos was cribbed directly from these kits. It even has similar exhaust.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the comments and interest in the car. BTW, just wanted to mention that the front bumper was separated from the grille and sprayed with the Revell chrome spray.

Well, I don't have the '70 interior right in front of me but I do have the pics I took when I built the car and the '69 interior right here. Comparing them, the bucket itself is identical right down to the door engraving and the ash tray on the left side rear arm rest. The dash is identical right down to the mold lines on the side. There are a couple rather large locating posts molded to the very back of the tub that I don't think were on the '70 but aside from that, identical. Maybe this person on the other forum you mention has the MPC/AMT kit and doesn't realize they're different kits? I doubt you switched the '69 and '70 buckets before you sent it to me. ? The '70 I have didn't have stock front seats when I got it so can't compare them. Now ,, I checked the MPC/AMT interior bucket in the AMT body I have. It's a hare narrower but nothing a couple strips of thin plastic on the outside of the window sills wouldn't take care of. Maybe bevel the front edge of the dash where it meets the windshield and it should go right in. The MPC/AMT chassis plate fits like it was made for it,, I'd dare say it fits this body better then the one it came with.

The AMT and MPC mustang kits ARE both 1/25 scale despite what everyone was lead to believe, it's just the MPC kit body seems to have been made a bit shorter to fit the older chassis. They are almost exactly the same width and height. When I was building my blue '70 seen earlier in this thread I was seriously considering using the MPC bumpers if I couldn't find suitable originals or resin copies. They were the same width and would have fit with a bit of minor sanding. In fact, I did have the front bumper sanded and fit to the AMT body.
