I've been wondering if the "crossover" element had something to do with it? [although it really shouldn't] A lot of country got on the top 40 lists in the '70s and '80s. most notably Kenny and Dolly's "Islands in the Stream" which spent 16 or 17 weeks in the top 40. BTW, that was written by The BeeGees and, IIRC, produced my Lionel Ritchie. [I think] But, yea, if Dolly's in then I think Kenny should also be at least nominated as he was at least originally a rock act with "The First Edition".

Pretty cool Joe. I'd love to have seen The Spoons but I doubt I will, not very many bands get this far east these days.

I've never seen a PB yet that was mean unless someone trained it to be that way. I think the problem is these punks that can't own a weapon for various legal reasons train their dog to be that weapon and they got that rep from there. In the past it was Dobermans and German Shepherds. PBs are just the flavor of the week. You never hear of a chewawa or yorkie attacking but I've never seen one that wouldn't try to bite a stranger when they see them. I've been a house painter for over 30 years so I've been a lot of people's homes. Never had a problem with any larger breed but I don't trust a small dog as far as I could throw them. [about 30 feet, I recon]

The bands I listed ,Joe, wern't "garage bands". They all had record deals, toured and put out albums. There's a lot more music up here in Canada then just Brian Adams, Celine Dion and Rush. ? But, you are absolutely correct, none of the bands I named deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.

I wouldn't give Steve too hard of a time, Dan. After all, we grew up with that stuff and honestly, I wouldn't bother with either band myself. Never really cared for Saga and metal just isn't my thing at all. I had just listed a bunch of Canadian bands I could remember hearing before that I knew had done well and not necessarily bands I liked personally.

Great color combo you got going on with that one. '64s are hard to find. I have a '64 wagon but I've been thinking of using an old '65 Elco body I have to do a conversion as the wagon body is missing the cowl and a chunk of the left fender.

Look'n great. Love the lavender perfect period color. , , I would have went with the engine from an AMT '66 Mustang, but that's just me. BTW, seen a 1/1 on the street here in Fredericton last weekend. It was in a champagne gold color, didn't get a pic though.

The only Revell 1/25 scale CJ-7s I remember were snap kits. They did look pretty good though.

Took a couple shots of the finished interior before gluing it in , , I have to add a couple things on the engine before it goes in permanently , , , ,And the chassis is set up with all the wheels on and the final ride height set.

Then I've been under a rock since I was 3. Now, you say "Another on I just learned", does that mean you had never heard of them and had been living under a rock too? BUT, do you know 5440, Big Sugar, Spirit of the West, Saga, Strange Advance, Skinny Puppy, Wide Mouth Mason, Theory of a Deadman, Spoons, The Sheepdogs, The Partland Brothers, Pukka Orchestra, Prozzak, Moxy Fruvous, , , ,Killer Dwarfs??? , , I could name hundreds. These were all Canadian bands that got considerable airplay on the radio and/or Muchmusic when they were popular and many of them are still known and touring. I bet almost no one on this forum outside of the Canadian Content have ever heard of most of them. I didn't choose the handle "Can-Con" out of thin air, it literally is the contraction for "Canadian Content" in the Canadian media.

I agree Gary, especially on some of Mike C.s bands that I've never heard of before and I've listened to some pretty eclectic music. , , "Big Star"? "Buffalo Tom"??? never heard of them and I bet most people reading this thread hasn't either. This is NOT an attack on Mike's musical preferences, just pointing out bands no one has heard of don't end up in the hall of fame. Heck, look how long it took to get Rush in there, I doubt Strange Advance or Doug & The Slugs will be nominated, let alone inducted.

The blown Volare is almost done so I started to restore this '67 Riviera annual while waiting for paint and glue to dry. I'm going to keep it stock, after all, you don't come across a '67 annual everyday. This particular kit seems to be kinda hard to find so,, Plans are for dark teal blue paint and a set of re-chromes Buick rally wheels on thin whitewalls. I will use some MCG photoetch scripts on the fenders though. There was a bit of damage to repair where the custom "vinyl 1/2 top" was attached but other then that it seems pretty good.

Best thing to go would compare the Nomad part with the sedan part Ken. Like Greg said, it was corrected when the sedan was issued. All of those had the correction and all the Nomads after that also got the correction. I'm pretty sure the Nomad you listed was the last issue so would have the correction.
