LOl, I'm not a beer drinker either ,, I prefer a drink with a higher octane level. ? But a lot of Canadians think American beer is weaker then Canadian but they don't realize we gage the alcohol content differently for some reason. There really about the same, IIRC.

I built the Nicky RS 427 sister kit when they came out a few years ago. Nice kit. Added some underhood details, the Torque Thrust wheels from a Revell 32 Ford and a tire swap and got a "best GM" award at a contest a few weeks ago. Still have one copy of this kit waiting in my stash.

I seen John a couple weeks ago at our local show, he was fine. I expect to see him again in about 3 weeks at the Atlantic Nationals car show and I'll mention it to him.

No, all I got was the artwork.

It did. I had two tips printed back then. One about making headlight lenses and the infamous "spoon test". ? They even sent me the original artwork from the articles using my tips.

Cool. I tried airbrushing it once last week and it didn't work out for me as good as strait from the can but I'll give it another try following your example, hopefully mine will turn out as well as yours did.

Looks like your having great success airbrushing the Revell product, Dusty. Are you thinning it and if so, with what?

A few more pics. I glued the engine bay to the body and cut it from the chassis plate so I can eliminate the seams where it connects to the fenders and cowl. Also trimmed the rear wheel area for clearance of the tires. Wheels are from the AMT '55 Chevy sedan. This is about where I want the ride height.

Steve, in this case the damage is already done. Len's trying to smooth out the crazing. The BIN can do that.

Yes, at least 50/50. I'd even go thinner if it's still ruff. BUT it does wet sand out super easy after it dries overnight.

Joe, I did not start this thread as a comparison of chrome products. I don't give a flying fig about the other products. I only started this to show the stuff as many people wanted to know what it looked like. I now wish I hadn't even bothered. This is definitely the last time I EVER do a post like this. Wow, that's a lot of work, Ron. I think if it were me I'd try finding a rebuildable annual or resin copy of the body and back. Motor City Resins used to do them for 35 bucks but I don't know if he's still in business.

Steve, when you say "later winter 2024" do you mean February/March-ish 2024 or the end of 2024?

Charlie, the exact same thing happened to my wife last year. I don't know what all was actually involved but she had to send Facebook pics of 2 pieces of ID to prove it was her and she was eventually able to get it straitened out. That said, she did abandon that account and set up another one as she no longer trusted it.

But you gotta understand Jeff, they're not critiquing your choices, just expressing their own preferences. And like-minded builders will sometimes post in agreement with them. Has nothing to do with you, although sometimes it will feel that way.

My Trans Am had a slightly oversize factory style stainless steel exhaust in it. Seems to work fine. I was looking at a '69 Riviera years ago where the dual exhaust didn't clear the back bumper, it shot the gasses up into the back of it. The rest of the car was solid as a rock but that bumper was completely rusted out from the fumes and humidity from the exhaust.
