  1. BTY, Mark, [and anyone else interested] Canuck 3-D should have all their grilles to fit these trucks on the market now. Last time I looked the site said they'd be available on the 6th.
  2. Looks like all you'd need would be smaller tires. It probably uses spacers for the lift so drop those, the light bar and whatever you call the tubes under the doors. Get a set of stock size tires and that's it. Those wagon wheels were even an available option on GM 4X4s in '85 I was really hoping for a set of stripe decals that separate the 2-tone you'd see them in a lot.

  4. IF it had a regular bed I'd love to take a run at the thing. I see some real possibilities for a really cool looking truck there.
  5. These are in the street machine version of the AMT '71 Duster but as you can see, they're missing any lettering. I assume they're supposed to be "Mopar Performance" covers but never got the rest of the engraving. ๐Ÿคจ That would have been in this kit,,
  6. I remember Salvage 1 and Maximum Bob. Pretty good shows. A couple I remember well that didn't last too long were "Franklin & Bash" A "dramedy" law show. Very funny and clever. Loved the casting of a very anti drug judge they went us against on one episode. Another that we're started watching on You Tube last week was "Special Unit 2" KInda mash up of X-files and Ghostbusters but it only lasted about 17 or 19 episodes.
  7. How's she goin' , Stu? Thanks. for the info. The video was very interesting. That would have been a right deadly engine for our Canadian made Beaumonts in the late '60s. "Commonwealth Cousins" and all that. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm thinking I should track down a resin one for my next Beaumont build.
  8. So, not to go off the rails too far but ,, I was just watching a short video on the Holden 308 V-8 on YouTube , Pretty cool. [and kinda sad] Does any of those kits have an accurate representation of that engine?
  9. I really should finish this up, it's an F&F. I think it's the only one of these I've ever seen.
  10. Well, it is an advent calendar so it makes sense it would be big. Are you gonna save it for next Christmas season, Jim? That would be fun. Largest one I ever had was one of these when I was a kid. Unfortunately the instructions were missing so?? Hey, I was a kid so I still had fun with it.
  11. They do represent the same wheel but the AMT ones look much better to me.
  12. The AMT '72 Nova has a great looking set of those wheels.
  13. Thanks, It's .015X'020. It's the smallest I could get.
  14. Finished adding the side trim to the pickup and got it in primer. The wheel opening trim really should be doubled like the rest of the trim but I'm getting itchy to paint it. Still needs some more work before that happens though. Also finished the assembly of the engine. Hard to find pics but I did figure out it's a supercharged LSA as used in a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V or Camaro ZL-1 After I found some pics and figured out exactly what it is, I took the intake off and but it back on the right way around. LOL
  15. The box and most of the other plastic parts are indeed from one of the MPC/AMT '84 GMC 4X4 kits. The cab is from an old MPC '78/'79 4X4 annual kit an old friend gave me years ago. All the parts are 1/25.
  16. sounds like you need the outboard from this kit? Spotlight Hobbies has them in stock for about 43 bucks so don't be suckered into paying big bucks for one, it's a current kit, not a "collector's kit".
  17. Ray's Kits Decals has almost 250 different sets of tire lettering.
  18. The one in the AMT [MPC] 30th Anniversary T/A kit is a 3.8 Buick turbo.
  19. What Mike said above is correct. It's not that the MPC kit is under scale, it's just too short. If you had 2 MPC bodies and chassis plates you could splice the front 1/2 from one and the back 1/2 from the other and make them the right length. I'd guess that would be easier then trying to graft the MPC front end on the Revell kit because it would be easier to get all the character lines and body contours to line up.
  20. That was super common here in North America too. I've done it by just adding a strip of black 1/64" Chart Pack tape to the chrome strip and sealing it on with Tamiya clear acrylic.
  21. You lying puke, you've never "almost built" anything box stock in almost 40 years, you're incapable of it, as am I. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜‰ Still lov'n it though. Looks so much like a HotWheels SpectraChrome paint job.
  22. GNX also has prominent fender flares that no other Regal has, not even the Grand National. Also, a regular Regal wouldn't have the spoiler on the trunk lid or the hood bulge.
  23. Pretty cool piece Kevin. I've never seen one in person.
  24. That is something you definitely do not want to joke about Mike. Trust me on that.
  25. I'm Canadian, Mike, I'm not going there. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ‘ฟ
