    I've never, ever been a fan of skirts, on any vehicle, but that's just me. Long ago, I had a '66 Grand Prix, and I removed them first thing.

    Thanks for the tip, Ace. Too bad I'm talking lacquers I need to get rid of though. I'll have to try some of that purple stuff everyone is sold on I guess.

    I have to say that it leaves me cold. Reminds me of a soap box derby car I built as a kid.

    You finished this in one day? It takes me a week just to sort out parts! I like all except the blue glass, other than that, I think it looks pretty cool.

    I don't have the guts to even think of chopping up cars the way some of you guys here do. Just amazing for me to see this. I love that purple too.

    Sunday I finished prep work on the new body and primered, yesterday I painted, and today I clear coated (3 coats), tomorrow I'll polish.

    The old hood was one item that I failed to screw up, so I'll be using it now. Needs more polishing I think, we'll see what happens there.

    Black (Testors Blazing Black Metallic), actually turned out OK, not perfect by a long shot, but I can certainly live with this. One with the flash, to show off the sparkle.

    This is one pair of wheel/tire combinations that came with the kit. I may use the tires, but I certainly won't use these wheels, not on this car anyway.

    I decided to go ahead and build the little trophy too, why not?

    Frame is assembled and awaiting paint. I haven't bothered with exhaust, as there will be no engine, though I may add that later, the exhaust that is.

    Interior bucket is pretty 'Plain Jane", but for this particular model, that's perfectly OK with me.

    I've basically trashed three paint jobs in a row, but believe I've now worked it out to my satisfaction. Still a ways to go, but I'm happy with my progress so far.
