  1. Works for me. It will take some getting used to though, that's for sure. Do you anticipate fewer problems with this software?
  2. Well this is going to take some getting used to. What prompted the switch?
  3. Generally speaking, there is a lot of good banter here, and some really cool, knowledgeable folks, and that's why I check in several times daily.
  4. It's all a matter of perspective I guess. June was the highest recoded rainfall ever, here in St Louis, but at the same time, California is dry as toast, and the millionaires are stealing water.
  5. I think the overwhelming majority still see it that way, Bill, it's just that the media crams so much negative garbage in our faces, that we can easily get the impression that no one respects it anymore. Old Glory still flies proud all over the US, and I hope always will.
  6. Regarding the decals for same, am I better off to apply decals on the smooth wet sanded paint before additional clear, or polish the clear first before applying decals?
  7. Thanks for the input, fellas, I appreciate it. I may give the spot treatment (with a brush) a try, but on an already messed up body that I need to strip completely anyway. I'm trying to be as cautious as I can on this one, since I've botched two in a row already.
  8. That's a real good point, Bob, as it's a metallic, and therefore translucent. My airbrush can spray a very fine line, and that will allow (theoretically) pinpoint accuracy of application,. but I'm more concerned with the spraying itself; low pressure, high pressure, use the paint as it comes out of the can, thin it, or what?
  9. Awesome, Ron, I love it.
  10. As expected, I've sanded through to the primer in a few areas, and these now need to be touched up. I'm also considering the stripe decals; would they be better attached to the wet sanded areas, or after polishing those wet sanded areas?
  11. As expected, I've sanded through to the primer in a few areas on a car that I'm working on, and those areas now need to be touched up. Is there any special trick to airbrushing the paint on those areas? I'm using Testors spray bomb lacquer paint, but don't want to spray everything, just those small areas that need it. Thanks, fellas,
  12. I have a new HP flatbed scanner coming to replace one that died, and that pleases me a bunch.
  13. I made the mistake of making an honest observation on what is apparently a "sensitive" issue (not here), and was immediately hammered by several folks, none of which showed me the least bit of civility that they themselves seem to believe they're entitled to, and that irked me greatly.
  14. I suspect the closest I'll ever get to a layout, is the finishing of my Revell 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, and perhaps some 1:35 German WWII armored train segments. When I was a kid, I use to check out copies of Model Railroader from the local library all the time. I've loved trains since I was just a pup.
  15. The site where I'm a moderator, is predominantly military driven, and yes, the swastika issue is generally ignored, as most of the fellas there realize that it's only a depiction of historical accuracy, not a personal statement of ideology.
  16. Yes I do, and I'm perfectly content with it.
  17. This looks really good, but I don't care for that clear hood. Are you going to paint that too?
  18. That gold looked great as it was. I had never even considered gold for this kind of car before.
  19. OK, not having read all six pages, will these kits be issued with an option to build them stock, or only as the modified versions? If the latter, I'll have to pass on the whole lot.
  20. I considered volunteering (I'm a moderator elsewhere), but I feel that there are just too many folks here that need reigning in, to allow me to keep my sanity.
  21. Awesome! I loved those trolls, had two on my bass drum in fact. So many years ago,...
  22. The term "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" pops to mind.
  23. You can block specific members if you so choose. It's an option in your personal settings.
  24. I figure I might as well post before this one gets locked up too. Your car looked great, and I stated as such. There is just no deterring some folks from having to play the antagonist, and we all lose as a consequence.
