  1. 50, perfect balance, though I would have assumed more left than right, but what do I know?
  2. All are decent, with the Me 262 being excellent. I'd be real interested in the Rufe, but unfortunately don't have the cash at the moment. It's far from perfect, but with just a little work, can be turned into an excellent looking model.
  3. I have the 1:24 Fw 190A-5/A-6 on the way right now, Joe; I should be able to do something special with that I'd think.
  4. Looks like an Elliot Ness chase gone wrong.
  5. On the flip side, I've managed to live up to all the low expectations that were predicted for me.
  6. Same here, like railroad ties.
  7. They do the same thing with commercial jets sometimes, dumping them out in Arizona and Nevada.
  8. Give them a bogus number to begin with. I never give my real number when registering anywhere, it's none of their stinking business.
  9. Less reflective than mirrors, so perhaps a good thing at that.
  10. Great. If I deleted all of my useless comments, I'd have to register again.
  11. Yes, let's just hope that too doesn't get wiped away soon.
  12. Those would go over real well in my neighborhood. They'd probably last an entire 8 hours before being stolen.
  13. Sad. I really miss the old drive-ins, there were four or five within very easy reach of my home.
  14. What annoys me the most, is that they have the cash to do this garbage to their cars, when I can barely afford to put gas in mine.
  15. Actually, I think it was "The Mobius Strip Trip".
  16. Nice! Thanks, Ray. They both look sharp. I hope mine comes out as nice.
  17. Personally I think it's a lost cause. All of the adhesive from the original decals will be ruined anyway, and those slimy decals (even if you can remove them in one piece, which is doubtful), will be a real bear to keep from get all stuck to themselves. I'd use the trader board, as suggested by jbwelda, and see if you can secure a new sheet that way, but that's just me.
  18. Looks no worse than my hog sty used to get. (I like the Lancaster too.)
  19. Wow, I really like that color. Nice.
  20. These photos don't really do this color justice, it's really a gorgeous metallic maroon, though a bit darker than I would have imagined. Still, it should look sharp on this car, and I'm very pleased with what I see. This is one of several kits that I had as a kid, and though I don't really remember if I finished the one from back then or not, it will be a sort of tribute to those long ago days, and that earlier attempt. I'll be doing several cars following that theme, tributes to car models long gone. Once I feel that I'm getting the hang of things, I'll start my all-time favorite, the '32 Ford Phaeton.
  21. AMX got its wet coat today. Once cured and clear coated (whenever that may be), I'll start polishing this baby.
  22. Interior/frame is beginning to take shape, as is the engine. All of the chrome you see here will be stripped off though, as intake manifold will be aluminum, and timing chain cover the same color as block (black), same with the oil pan.
  23. Thanks, Joe. I'm having fun anyway (sort of). It’s been eons since I last built this kit, and had completely forgotten about the all plastic front tires. (Rears are rubber though, and pretty nice.) Parachute pack is a nice touch, and I look forward to adding it as well.
  24. Looks like you did a great job on the camouflage, especially since it's hand painted.
