  1. Great, I really like the full fendered cars.
  2. I like the color. Whatever chrome there will be, should really make it pop.
  3. Cool idea, I like the concept.
  4. I get ya', Mike. Yes, it would be interesting, to say the least. After all this work (and more to come), I really hope it ends up looking cool. I have a lot riding on this model.
  5. Yep, I checked my copy of the Anatomy book, and sure enough, most of the lifeboats are suspended outside the hull. It's been so long that I looked at my own Constitution model (1:96 Revell kit), that I had forgotten all about it.
  6. Oh, I will be wanting some in the future, so I'll definitely keep you in mind, Scott, so thanks for that.
  7. OK, Thanks, George. (I actually was able to find out the exact dimensions on Amazon, but then decided that instead of wasting the money for the cases (as well as having to make the pockets larger to accommodate them), that I'll just use .125 sheet acrylic over the fronts of the pockets instead.
  8. Does anyone know the dimensions of these cases? I'd like to know length, depth and height, as I'm designing a "pocket" display area in my basement, and need for these cases to fit within those pockets.
  9. I've kept some, usually if I really like the box art, and some of the older ones, as Bill said, because they're cool, and remind me of better days.
  10. I'm not sure what you mean, Mike. What interviewers desk?
  11. I've had a hankering to finish my 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, and this may well provide the incentive.
  12. OK, I have a dilemma (possibly two). Though I intended to do this as a curbside from the outset (as most of my models will be), I just discovered that the kit has no engine block! Whether this was missing when I received the kit (doubtful), or I lost it (probable), I have no idea, but I'll certainly not be putting an engine in it now. Also, the fatter (wider) tires are also missing. Not that I intended to use them, but my question is this, is there any logical reason that someone would mount both deep dish and standard wheels, when all four tires are standard sized? Is that even doable? If not, and I suspect that is the case, I'll have to get another set of the Cragars.
  13. T for me, or is that tea for two? Nope, it's T for me.
  14. Looks cool. I like that color too.
  15. It's a deal! I can tend to be quite child-like sometimes, and impatience is not something I appreciate too much, but sometimes does rear its ugly head.
  16. I think my heart just skipped a beat!
  17. Receiving this kit in a trade, I was aware that the stock wheels were gone, but in their place, is a set of these great looking Cragars, mastered by Casey, if I understand it correctly. These wheels fit the kit tires like a glove, so that'll make my life a bit easier, and I think they'll look awesome against the Maroon paint of the body.
  18. Believe it or don't,... it took me three days to find this kit in the dungeon! Now that I have found it (this morning), I've finished the body prep work as far as I can take it for now. Normally I've been using surfacer to fill sink marks, and this kit has a few, but this time I've switched to Tamiya white, as the white primer I use doesn't cover the gray surfacer very well, requiring too many coats.
