  1. Interesting. I did more or less the same thing over the last two years or so. Sold off a majority of what I'd been squirreling away for years, only to now wish I'd kept them (not near all were car related though). My biggest regret, selling off my mint 1:16 scale Tamiya King Tiger. Shortly after joining this forum, I also traded off the remnants of three Monogram Dodge Challengers, only to subsequently need some of those parts for replacements!
  2. Contest sounds pretty cool, but I'm afraid it's way beyond my abilities.
  3. Oh yes, I remember it well. It used to get a lot of air play here, but not so much anymore.
  4. I wouldn't say never, but it seems doubtful that it would happen anytime soon, though it is a good idea. If I could find the appropriate rallye style wheels that my own Century had in 1:32, I'd probably seek out the kit and convert the rear windows to the configuration my car had. In fact, I may do it anyway, regardless.
  5. Very cool, G, looks good. I'd like to eventually do an Africa Corps Panzer IV.
  6. Very nice kit, Jeremy, I'm quite sure you'll enjoy it.
  7. I'll be upgrading my own PC (not for gaming though) later this year. Already have a new motherboard with 32GB RAM capacity, and I'll be throwig an Intel i5 or i7 quad core processor on it, plus a new SATA III 2TB internal drive (not solid state though, as that would cost a small fortune), as well as a liquid cooled procesor fan. Once I then do a clean install of Windows, it should be more than adequate for my personal needs.
  8. Up until now, I've generally used BMF (with mixed results), but would like to eventually give Alclad II a whirl. Perhaps one of the reasons I prefer many 30's type cars, is that (generally speaking) there's usually not a lot of chrome to mess with.
  9. Yet another project I’d like to get wrapped up in the next couple of months, is this 1:35 Tamiya Jagdpanther. (I’m also a part time tread-head.) Almost ready for paint, pending my ordering of deck screens and tracks, (as well as the inevitable cleanup of dozens of road wheels). I’ll probably do this as a straight up yellow/brown, and set in a scene of a destroyed town. (Ironically, though I have gobs and gobs of references on the Panthers and Jagdpanthers, I'lll be adding no extra details to this, even though it could certainly benefit from it.)
  10. Good job, Joe, glad to see that you did well in competition.
  11. Very elegant, Harry.
  12. Looks quite spiffy.
  13. Now I really like this. Excellent looking car.
  14. Looks very cool. Do you have any better shots of the front and rear end?
  15. Nope, still loitering. I just really haven't seen a lot of bench time in the last week or so.
  16. Cool looking R/T. I like it.
  17. A very generous gift from a very good friend, that happened upon a fantastic deal on the kit. Still shrink wrapped, and fairly hefty, I'm very much looking forward to peeking inside the box.
  18. That's a good analogy, I think. Frequently (very frequently), I just want to head to the stash, pull something not yet worked on out of the pile, and commence cutting plastic, and dreaming of how cool it'll look when completed. Not exactly rational thinking perhaps, but it works for me.
  19. '65 Dodge Polara, 318, push button Torqueflite, black with red interior. No photos, but I really enjoyed that car.
  20. I see things like that in my dreams at night,... after a bad bowl of chili.
  21. Got it! They're photos of a computer monitor.
  22. The BONE is the only aircraft that I've ever seen in my life that makes me sick at my stomach while it's in full afterburn; it's that loud.
  23. Looking good. The more I look at this, the more I'm thinking I'm going to do my Constitution "sails on".
