  1. I found one of my missing polishing sticks today, so was able to wet sand/polish those areas that were still lacking. I was then able to start the long and arduous task of adding the BMF, starting here with the passenger side rear fender. The GTX emblems had been foiled before the paint was shot on, so I was able to successfully wet sand/polish that area as well (second photo). No question that I'll have some touch-up painting to do, as I've polished clear through in a few places, but that's OK with me.
  2. I'm actually considering a water thin wash of Tamiya smoke. I'll probably give that a try and see what happens.
  3. I'm not used to seeing yellow muscle cars, but it certainly looks cool.
  4. Very nice. (I've just got to do a convertible one of these days.) Looks real good to me.
  5. I don't normally go in for rust, but this one looks pretty cool. Nice job.
  6. Looks excellent.
  7. Very nice, very nice indeed.
  8. Good looking Roadrunner, Dave, I hope mine (when the time comes) turns out as nice.
  9. Testors makes Purple-Licious, and it would have looked great, but your solution looks pretty darned good.
  10. OK, front bumper and grille receive some work today. Grille still needs more "fine tuning", but I think it'll look OK, once finished.
  11. I'm thinking along those lines myself, Gene. I have gobs of Ziploc bags, so that's probably what I'll do. At some point down the line, I'll want to really trick out an engine, so it'll be very handy to know what's what.
  12. I hear ya', I'm waiting on more parts and paints to finish a few of mine too.
  13. Very nice indeed. I have the big (1:96 scale) Revell Constitution to get to, one of these days.
  14. For the foreseeable future, I'm in the less-is-more camp. Having just rejoined the car modeling fraternity recently, I'm so far sticking with mostly curbside stuff; so no extra frame, interior or engine details of any kind. About as far as I'm wiling to go at the moment, is some wheel/tire swaps. Perhaps later I'll try to detail some engines and stuff, but not right now.
  15. Nice lamp, Jon. I'm considering one of those for myself right now, and will eventually get one.
  16. Same here, Bill. While immersed in a modeling project, the world temporarily ceases to exist, and that can be a very good thing.
  17. You're not referring to the self-propelled Mörser Karl-Gerät above, are you, Joe? In that particular case, 60cm and 54cm are the two calibers the mortar can be built/displayed as.
  18. Thanks, Gene. I'm trying now to figure out the best way to start sorting parts that I don't use, for easy identification later. For instance, neither engine from this kit (426 or 440) will be used here, but if I just dump them all in a box, I'll never know what they are later when I want to use them.
  19. I shall, on that you can count.
  20. OK, thanks for that information. I may have to hunt some down, as I have several gassers to eventually do that might benefit from them.
  21. I wasn't particularly sold on this kit initially, but yours looks so good that I may have to grab one.
  22. Quite an unusual car,... this should be interesting.
  23. Yep, that does look excellent.
  24. Frame all painted up flat black now. With no contrast of color, it just looks like a blob in the photo, but that's OK, as I'll be doing nothing further to it anyway.
