  1. I hope to make it this year, last year was a joke for me, nothing seemed to go right.
  2. More of the same, though hopefully actually finishing a few.
  3. After hearing me whine about all of the WNW Fokker D.VII's being sold out now, someone took pity on my old self, and sent me this OAW version, brand new in the box, no charge.
  4. A few years back, I bought several sets of Premier and CMK lights, so I'll be using those where needed to represent anti-collision beacons and such.
  5. The majority of sanding (windows and all seams) is mostly finished now. I hope to be ready for primer and color in a few days.
  6. I'll have to echo the thoughts of several others; I'd waste no time in hunting down the best restoration shops in the country, and get them busy on building me some really cool stuff. In the spirit of the question however, I'd see to it that the AMT '70 Challenger was reworked into a truly fantastic and accurate R/T convertible. I'd also foot the bill for new and well researched, accurate '66 Grand Prix, '74 Pinto sedan and '75 Buick Century, as these are all cars that I've owned and would love to do models of.
  7. Right there with you, as I only missed six.
  8. Yep, darn shame. 69 is way too young.
  9. OK, more snail pace modeling here. Here are two comparative snaps, one that has not been altered, and one that has been stretched. Still lots to do to get these ready for paint.
  10. I somewhat arbitrarily decided to add .100 in length to the cowls, to more faithfully capture the "feel" of the GE's normally associated with these 767's, but had no .100 sheets, so opted for .080 & .020 sandwiched together instead. Once these are thoroughly dry, I'll trim and sand to shape, then putty as needed, probably today.
  11. Not a lot done here, but at least a little. All windows and major seams have now been puttied up and sanding (lots of sanding) has commenced.
  12. I've intended to watch it, but never got around to it yet.
  13. Fortunately for me, my automotive focus is very narrow. I figure another 12 car models or so, and I'm done, at least for the next couple of years.
  14. What a great color. I like that a lot.
  15. OK, thanks. They look great.
  16. Just curious, did those wrinkled slicks come with the kit?
  17. I'd think clear enamel or acrylic would be the best bet, Zach. Lacquer would probably have no affect on the epoxy, but might attack the acrylic. Acrylic or enamel should attack none of it.
  18. Thanks, fellas. In a few days I'll grab a bottle of gloss black lacquer and then be able to finish for clear coats.
  19. Cool car. I always like the looks of these.
  20. This looks just great so far.
  21. It's a very cool looking green. Do you recall type/color used?
  22. I haven't been to an actual book store in years.
