  1. Yup that is the one. Thanks for posting the link! Be Well Gator
  2. Well you have the option of doing it or not. I think it would be a cool project. And I know you could ,would do it justice. Be Well Gator
  3. Tom, Hope you take care to mend slowly. As for the model. I knew I shoulda kept my idea to myself ! lol hey go for it. The whole idea of model building in my mind is to relax and enjoy. Changing a project is par for the course.. I get my enjoyment , satisfaction ,and relaxation from my time at the workbench. Building modifying or whatever. Though I do not enjoy the finite detailing that some people do so well. I do try to build a clean model. Be Well Gator
  4. Another option if you want a lowboy ( low loader) is KFS. His kits are top shelf and well worth the money. The only drawback is that they are of a European design. I have a complete rig of the first low loader Howard did back in the 90''s. Hope to be building it soon. There was also a series of articles on how to build/modify trailers.Including one on how to do a removeable gooseneck lowboy. You can find the articles in the Dutch modle website. Be Well Gator
  5. Now that is some really fine weathering ! I like the little chain.I was wondering where you got it. I also noticed that you took the time to do a good job of removing the join seams.on the motor and tranny. Good job on it. Be Well Gator
  6. X's 2 I could use at least one more three axle and one or two two axles lowboys if KJ does them again. Be Well Gator
  7. Cool Project! Looks good so far. Be Well Gator
  8. Dam it man! You have that one looking real good ! Be Well Gator
  9. I have not used either of those. I know of somepeople that use the wheels and tires off the 1/32nd diecast trucks. Not sure about how accurate they are .But they do look good. I have a diecast KW w/logging trailer that I plan to strip for parts. The duals will go on trailers.Surely there will be someone here that can give you more info. Be Well Gator
  10. Gino, I doubt that anyone has only one project on their workbench at one time . I know I keep telling myself only one model at a time. But never manage to stick to that!! lol Aside from this being a save and a parts bin build ,I am liking it. I may just have to do a stretch job on something myself. I like what you've done thus far! Be Well Gator
  11. Erik, I would stay with the original idea. That is very unique. If you wanted you could build another without the roof??? But I do like very much what you are doing here. Be Well Gator
  12. JT, You are making great progress on this project . As I expected you would. Keep it up Bro looking good ! Be Well Gator
  13. X's 2 You know we are all waiting to see more of your craftsmanship on the project!! Be Well Gator
  14. Arnd, I like the rear end you chose very fitting for a heavy work truck. A Cummins would work but I kinda like the Detroit idea?? Did the pit fenders come in the kit? Be Well Gator
  15. Clayton, i like where you are going with this one. for the interior. After you modify and build a floor board. Why not build a raised platform and make a bench seat. After all it is an old hot rod??? Be Well Gator
  16. Wow ! That is really nice ! You did a real fine job on the build . I just wish you had done a build thread. I got one of those kits. haven't started it yet. Wishin now I had ordered the dual axle kit as well. Hope KJ does some more of them. Be well Gator
  17. Sean, I like your shortened frame !! I also like your idea for a K-100 Aerodyne . Will be watching both of these projects. Be Well Gator
  18. Looks like a interesting project. It is kinda a shame that Dodge opted out of the class8 truck market. Be Well Gator
  19. I always like it.When someone can save an old model from being tossed out in the trash. Hope you can see you way clear to work on this one. Be Well Gator
  20. Scott, That is one fine looking model. You did a really good job capturing the look and feel of the movie truck. Well done! Be Well Gator
  21. Jacobus, You have really done a fine job on this dirty truck. I like it a lot ! Be Well Gator
  22. Well well Clayton , it looks like you have found your groove ! A welderup rat rod .Yup I like that idea. a lot1 You know i will be watching this one closely. Be Well Gator
  23. Clayton, Looks to me like you are back up to speed! I like what you have going on here. Be Well Gator
  24. J.T. , It is good to see you are back at the work bench. And that looks like a worthy project. What tractor are you going to put it on? I will be following this thread for sure. Be Well Gator
  25. Arnd, I love your ideas and theme for this project ! The whole thing with the class8 trucks and heavier. Is that if you have enough money you can build any truck you want . If you have a good mechanic and welder you can rebuild most anything. And of course you need a graveyard of old trucks for some parts. I will be following this thread . Be Well Gator
