  1. You are right Mike but I just did not think Arlen Vanke's car was that color, maybe so.
  2. No I had a Roman red 63 Chevy and it is not the same color as the Mandalay red.
  3. Yes that is the color I am going to use I think it would have beed a factory color and that is the only red on the chart. I remember my neighbor bought a 62 Grand Prix brand new and it was bright red and that color is not even on the chart so it must have been a special order. I was only 11 years old in 62 but I remember that car well. Thanks for your help. Elvin
  4. I am sorry I did not make it clear I am looking for the 2 door HT car that he ran S/S. That was a red car but I have seen an article that said it was bright red, someone in another article said it was Mandalay red.
  5. Does anyone have a color picture or know what color Arlen Vanke's 62 Pontiac was?
  6. Thanks Tom
  7. Thanks Richard but how do you weather the paint and make it peel?
  8. I want to build an old country store and need help on how you make wood siding age and peel. Elvin
  9. I bought the Lawman also for 29.95 and went back to buy another and was told that the 29.95 was the wrong price. I e-mailed Hobby Lobby and was told that 39.95 was the correct price. I think Round2 did a run for Ollies if you look at the box of the original kit and the Ollies kit thae box art is differant but at a glance they look the same. I agre wth Bill there are so many cars they could do and not keep re-doing the Color Me Gone. Check out Gorge Klass Remembers and see all the Super Stock and A/FX cars.
  10. Another re-boxed rip off from Round2 I would go with the Lindberg kit. Ollies had them for 7.99 or if you missed that you can buy them 10.00 or 12.00 each. If Round2 does like they did on the re-boxed Plymouth they will be 39.95 each. I will say it is a pretty good kit a little off scale but builds into a nice shelf model. I just think it has been done too many times.

  16. I agree with Steve we use to race them down a 1x12 board but that was over 50 years ago. I would rather that mine do not roll today.

  19. Great job! Beautiful back ground. My wife and I had a 67 SS 396 w/400 turbo it was butternut w/black vinyl top and Keystone mags red streak tires. I loved that car and wish we had kept it.
  20. In Larry Davis's book Super Stock racing the family sedan there is a picture of Bill Maverick measuring a cheater slick to make sure it was only 7" wide.
