  1. I'm gonna go with model this time. I'm only 2 for 8 so far so I gotta gain some ground. I think I'm right?
  2. Virgil, I was going to ask if you were getting any sleep. I can't believe how fast some of you guys can crank out top quality builds. Great job so far. You've had me glued to the computer for the last few days. Seems like everytime I check, you're posting more progress. lookin' forward to seeing the finished build.
  3. Steve, I believe you're right about the time frame for the speedometer change-over. I can remember you could actually get a set of peel & stick numbers to place on the speedometer because a lot of people had a hard time with converting mph to kmh ( my father being one of them ) .
  4. Roberto, Thought you said your modelling skills weren't that great. Looks pretty good to me.
  5. Harry, So sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
  6. Harry, you out there? hope all's well and you're only vacationing or something foolish like that.
  7. Awesome as always Bill. I think Harry should use some of your builds in ROM.
  8. Yaay, I'm not alone. I told my wife I wasn't weird.
  9. Kurt, That is without a doubt the most incredible truck build I have ever seen! Gentlemen, the bar has definately been raised, probably higher than I'll ever be able to reach. SWEET!!!
  10. Uwe, Muscle cars, trucks, and now NASCAR. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. Great build.
  11. Thanks for the link to that site. I've seen some incredible things since I found this forum, but this guy is soooo awesome. Can you imagine building models of that calibre using wire, wood filler & plastic wood? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it !!
  12. That's a sweet build with lots of great detail. I had a '60 Starliner kit, but traded it to a buddy for a truck kit. After seeing this, I think I need to find another one.
  13. Congrats Ismael. That's the thrill of a lifetime. See, it's not just us model car nuts that appreciate your talented builds. I wouldn't worry too much about the long first post. If it were me, I'd have filled the whole first page before I came down enough to partially relax. Looking forward to seeing more pics.
  14. Jim & Tim, I suspected it was a Cummins and I've seen both tan & white colors in them. Did they switch from white to tan in a certain model year? I drove an '86 Louisville for 8 years that had a tan colored Cummins in it.
  15. Harry, It's never been so much fun to be in a state of confusion.
  16. Peter, Two more excellent builds. Really crankin' em out, aren't ya.
  17. I had the kit given to me some time ago minus the original box. The instruction sheet doesn't indicate what type of engine it is or what colors to paint anything. I'm not going to paint the truck as the "Movin On" rig, but I'd like to get the drivetrain correct. Any help would be appreciated. Tim????
  18. Peter, Those are stunning '69's. Nice work.
  19. Jeff, With the instructions in front of me, I can tell you that the assembled interior is installed in the cab first, then the firewall is put in place. The wheel wells are attachedto a mounting point on the firewall. The cab is then finished (windows, grille, headlights) and attached to the frame as a unit. Hope this helps you.
  20. Welcome Ron, This is a great place to hang out with a lot of talent. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  21. Those vettes are the coolest I've ever seen. I never heard of Ricky Couch myself, but it looks like the modelling community lost a very talented builder.
  22. Jason, I think you'll find this place to be more than a quick fix. There's an incredible amount of talent here that is more than willing to share their expertise. Welcome to the forum.

    My builds

Rob, Nice looking builds there. The '57 Chevy is particularly interesting. Not something you see every day.
