My late Great Uncle and Aunt used to sing that song a lot! Had it on an old 78 record. He flew B17's out of England and she was an RAF nurse when he first met her! That brought back so great memories. -
Was researching the AMT Corvair when I saw the funny car version online and realized I had a damaged body and the chassis from the old street freak Barracuda. So I cut off the damaged nose and am grafting the custom nose from the Corvair kit on it! Scratch built the front axle and sourced the engine and rear axle wheels and tires from the parts box! Widened the rear wheels too!

Rama great looking build! Takes me back to a better world and time!

I still need the Torino, Chevelle, 64 Galaxie and 66 Impala. Also want to do the GTO using the Buick kit. They look even better if you scuff the tires and round the edges a bit. Love the box cover builds you have done on these!

Surprised after this long the surface hasn't started to chip and flake up. Saw this on a lot of driveways and garage floors in the late 80's early 90's. Don't know why anyone would want it that shiny and slick!

Sweet looking Corvette! The color looks spot on! Seems like that that year only came in 3 colors as all I saw were red, white and silver! LOL

My cousin's daughter went into a seizure one evening when they were driving home from her basketball game. They were on a main road and came upon an accident scene where the EMS vehicles had the new high intensity lighting .

Guys were using adapters and mostly GM factory wheels or mags with the GM lug pattern. I had Pontiac rally on my Baja bug. A few like the one I modeled this one after used Mopar wheels, same pattern as Ford. After we painted it orange he switched to these and sold me the Ford Torino GT wheels we took off.

Love the color! Looks great!

Number three build for the year! Only change to this one was wheels ad tires. Replica of one that I worked on a long time ago at the VW shop!

Rolling Stones on my birthday Nov. 16 1969 in Chicago! -
My great grandma in 1981 shortly before cancer got her called it "built to break"! She came to the conclusion that big manufacturers decided that huge profits were more important to them than being known as a company of quality! If they break soon after warranty and repair costs are too high then they get to sell more units and make more money! We now have evolved into a throw away society. We buy cheap and just replace rather than repair never giving thougt to how much that "cheap" really costs in the end!

We are doing fine, really not much different from our normal life! Guess we live a pretty boring life these days! I have only been out about once every 10 days since this started. (excluding my yard) Only to the grocer or drug store. Did have the wife to the doctor twice this week though. Monday because they had to change her inhaler to one Medicare D would pay for. The other she had been using samples from the doctor but they jobbers are getting stingy with them. 485 dollars each and she needs one every month. Put her on a different one that Medicare D will pay for copay only 30 bucks a month. Today had to take her back because she had a urinary tract infection so he put her on antibiotics for 10 days. Said it was common when going on to this new inhaler. (just what we needed) Spend most of the day reading or working on models. Weather breaks soon I'll go out and work on the 1966 Buick in the driveway.

That is totally awesome!!!

Great to hear you came though it all. My wife says she knows what you are going through and wishes you well and sends her prayers. Bet you can feel the difference now post surgery and realize how bad it really was before! My wife's next surgery has been put off due to this coronovirus stuff.

Very well done replica! Wasn't too long back that was a common site on the streets around here! Lot of very quick street Stangs !

2nd build of 2020. Built out of box. Decided not to add decals to it.

Any trouble with the AMT '66 Nova??
OldTrucker replied to Southern Fried's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
The scoop would be right for mid to late 70's especially if the rear was jacked up sky high with N50's sticking out of the wells!LOL -

Na, didn't need to be in outer space to enjoy some of their music. Like you said they all seemed to pass through that stage in their music. They are all just pieces of that great puzzle of Rock Music. I have most of the Grateful Deads music but reduced it down to two CD's I put together of my favorites. Had many chances to attend their concerts but never did, just wasn't my scene. Pink Floyd and Lead Zepplin are two more of my favorites along with Buffalo Springfield. -

A little drastic I would think, maybe just in the foot though!
