  1. I've had parts pop out of clamps, tweezers, fingers and later found them in shirt pockets, in my shoe which I was wearing and stuck in the tread of my sneakers!
  2. 189 dollars poorer and nothing accomplished. Just a partial plan of repairing what is left of my teeth. He will not pull good or repairable teeth is his quote. Next step if I take it is the one giving me fits and the two next to it, quote 598 dollars minimum for that round. Three others will require going to his oral surgeon and three others he wants to possibly do caps. Went to an independent dentist because the places like Aspen are all profit driven and try to sell yopu the most expensive plans they can. Guess the independents aren't much better now.
  3. Told the wife they better get me right in as soon as I'm there or my flight response will kick in very quickly!LOL Only have about 18 teeth left and most of them have problems. Seemed to run in the family. Have 4 that have been broken off at the gum level two have gummed over! They are not the ones that give me trouble though. Think I may have a bigger issue as the couple days I was on amoxicillin before the rash made me quit a whole bunch of symptoms seemingly unrelated I was dealing with for years seemed to be going away!
  4. What irks me is all the things that I have experienced in my life a couple that came close to taking it and I'm still afraid of the dentist!!! I have an appointment this afternoon (1st since about 1992) and it almost has me sick!LOL
  5. I'm thinking this was an atempt to make a Mustang Grande which was a tunnel back design.
  6. He's Superman!
  7. A great car design to begin with and you just added to it! Great looking build!
  8. That is a work of art !
  9. There is a black hole in every model room and parts don't even have to fall on the floor to be sucked into the vortex!
  10. She was my favorite character on the show.
  11. I'm sure many at the track had flashbacks to Daytona 2001. Been doing a lot of praying tonight! First race I decided to watch in three years!!! and this.
  12. One of my grandpa's nieces had a 67 Impala SS that was orange. Bought new at a St Louis Mo. Dealership!
  13. Just be glad they aren't F4 Phantoms !LOL I remember in the late 70's living in a small trailer park in Wi that was set in a small valley. One weekend a month they would come swooping in and shake the pictures off the wall! Flashed back a little first time it happened!
  14. We used to joke that the auto parts warehouse's lifetime guarantee just means you will be replacing it for a lifetime! Have been that route, 3 alternators all bad for one car, 2 starters on another! Third time in 5 months on a front hub and I took my money back and bought one for a little more at Napa and it is still working fine 3 years later!
  15. It will go into a case and sit next to the last model I was working on that my grandson Isaac always asked about before we lost him.
  16. It's not to be. My little brother whom I have just recently reconnected with after over 20 years lives down that way and I had him trying to find them. He let me know this afternoon that he found from her former neighbor she passed away just before Thanksgiving last year and all anyone knew was her son was somewhere in west Texas. The neighbor did say she still had the Corvette and that her son took it back with him. Kind of depressing.
  17. The original poster of this thread mentioned the oil industry (gasoline) and it brought back something that irked my grandpa! Back when they first introduced unleaded gas it was higher priced than regular and his new car required unleaded gas. Evidentally he never noticed that small detail when he was getting regular gas for the old car! He went on a rant at the gas station and his point was that he remembered back when they started putting lead in gas. he noted that they raised the price because they added the lead so wanted to know just why it would go up when they left something out!!!LOL
  18. Always going to be cheaper to sell in bulk quantities than it is to package in smaller amounts for a small sector pf the public that purchase it. A lot more costly.
  19. We don't do scrips through the mail but have cpap supplies and such. We use a one time debit or e-check through our bank for those kinds of payments, same with utilities. The only thing we use paper checks for is rent and the dreaded Girl Scout Cookies and school fund raising our grandkids do every year!
  20. That would be one wild ride!!!
  21. It is Pearl White Lacquer but the pearl doesn't show well in my picture.
  22. Always loved that car and you have made me love it more! Great job!
  23. Richard, another great build of a car that takes me back to my childhood!
  24. Great color combination! Sweet build!
