About 6:30 this morning opened the blinds in the model room and saw a strange looking leaf in the street which is about 4 ft away. Then thought can't be a leaf it is too square. Told the wife that I thought it was money in the road and she said well go out and look! Put my shoes on and went around to the street to where it was and it was a 20 dollar bill folded in half laying there! Hobby Lobby here I come tomorrow!LOL

Just got my end of a trade from Sam I Am! Great guy to deal with (but then everyone already knows that!) got it right out to me! Guys like him are what makes this a great place to be!

I won't even go see movies that are using cgi anymore. I have the original movie and that is good enough for me.

Cute little house and an awesome garage!!!LOL My kind of place!!! (if I could afford it now) That is what we did for years, buy an old house that needed work and rehab it while we were living there. Then I would find another and we would sell and move to it and do it all over again! Worked great until I busted my back had back surgery and couldn't work any more. We lost everything.

I'm irked at the below normal temps and the fact that one of the few days forecast to be in the 50's and I have to go up on the carport roof and do some tarring on has now turned windy as heck!

Probably one of those guys that think leaving everybody in a huge black cloud when they leave a stop is cool to do.

I stopped paying attention to drag racing long ago. Top Fuel when they went rear engine and the rest when they started no longer resembling anything I ever have seen on the street. About the only thing I will cross a street for now is nostalgia racing!

A 1979 Transtat II was the last truck I drove. So glad that I will have another chance to build it. The last one I had I sold to pay doctor bills along with so many other irreplacible kits.

I have the Buick in my stash. I will spring for the 2 Modified Stocker kits to replace some of the ones I sold!

The shop I worked at the boss's brother made them. Used one (10 inch) on my 64 Baja Beetle I had at the time. Helped balance it out with the 6 cylinder Porsche engine hanging out the back!LOL

You either have to space the axle out further or reverse the torsion arms towards the front which requires reworking the steering components. Others have used early Ford front axles to lengthen the wheelbase.

Tom, that is the latter Super Beetle that had a strut front suspension. I hated those things!!!LOL

Who hired the inspector? My son had this happen and after he threatened a lawsuit the house got re-inspected and they only found one small issue which he fixed himself! Seemed like someone was trying to help the buyer a bit too much!

Awesome build Steve! How did you fabricate your bed cover to get it to resemble the 1:1 original?

Just look online for a bug with the fenders off. The inner well isn't all that much and shouldn't be too hard to replicate!

Did the old IMC kit have separate fenders? I know everything else opened on it but can't remember if the fenders were moded in.

Well didn't quite make it but should have enough days that will be good enough to get to 8 maybe 10. #7 just needs clear and #8 needs paint and clear to be done but it was too windy in my paint booth today!LOL

I saw the car at the Chicago Auto Show way long ago when I was still in school and the Auto Shop class went there! I just cannot get it in my mind just what the color (other than a gold color) it was. I've looked at magazine pictures and on line pictures but they just do not look like what I "THINK" (not a good thing for me to do according to my wife) I remember Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is my holy grail kit! I sold mine to pay on doctor bills a few years ago.
