  1. I had this information stashed away but seems to have gotten lost in our move. How much needs to be removed from the wrecker bed to fit correctly so the wheels aren't tucked so far in.
  2. Looks like he's trying to go back to the future!
  3. Over a 20 year period I worked on them on an off for a foreign car repair shop that specialized in VW's. We restored a bunch. When production stopped in Germany they kept building them for a while in Mexico. What a strange bunch of cars those were as they used parts from the late 60's through the end of the run! Like they were using up all the leftover parts from years past!LOL
  4. The one pictured is a sedan modified into a convertible and is a Super Beetle. They first appeared in 1970-71 and still used the flat windshield. In 73 the super beetle went to the curved windshield to meet safety standards dealing with the distance between the driver and the windshield.
  5. Back to the dentist this afternoon because the one bad tooth he didn't pull has been aching all weekend!
  6. I say leave it rest. Don't think it would survive being brought up.
  7. Our daughter who is now 50 hasn't talked to us in over three years, has substance abuse problems and we are to blame according to her. Our three sons are all doing good, the oldest finally got his life together in the last 7 years. The youngest two (twins have pretty much worked for the same company since high school graduation in 1999 doing interior trim work. One is a supervisor now. This week is always rough for us tough as it is the week we lost Isaac,(my avatar picture) our grandson in 2015, the day before Father's Day. His Mom's birthday was days before.
  8. A big car hauler semi pulled up in front of my son's house today and left this little gem!
  9. Just picked this up at the Post Office!
  10. Got and email that mine shipped already!
  11. They were showing two left so with the wife's nod of approval I dropped the hammer on one!
  12. This one is a must have for me. Owned one of these for a short time when I tried to go independent. End result made lots of money and went broke thanks to a less that reputable broker. I remember hauling Budweiser out of St Louis to Portage Wi. just as hard as we could run following the big strike. Lot of creative log book work went on for a while!
  13. Thinking of pulling the trigger on this one but want the best price I can get.
  14. Well, 1 hour and 622 dollars later what was left of my eye teeth are gone. Said they were pretty badly infected so back on antibiotics. Ther were so boned in he is referring me to an oral surgeon for the last two extractions.
  15. Thats what Im working towards but being medicare wont cover dental it will take time to get there. My first dental experience was when I was about 7 years old and he actually smoked a cigar while working on you!
  16. Same here. Small town Dentist with a large practice. Very friendly environment and he is one funny guy. Has posters of fishing equipment, charts and such on the ceiling From past experience there was pain it seemed from start to finish. This guy there was no pain at all, even after the procedure it was minimal. But I still fear going back which is in about 45 minutes!LOL
  17. That is the truth! Mine pulled two lower front teeth and it was 456 dollars for less than 20 minutes of chair time! Last year when the wife had her heart surgery heard two of the cardiac surgeons talking about one of their brothers new 650,000 dollar boat they had brought into Lake Michigan. The one said "I should have become a dentist like my brother instead of a heart surgeon!"
  18. I've been through back surgery, hip replacements and many other procedures but yet I am still scared of the dentists office! I swear I didn't fear being shot at as much as going to the dentist! Am I crazy or is this a natural thing???LOL
  19. Great save Sam. She's a looker for sure!
  20. Don't see the three axle chassis around here but other than that it sure has the look! You nailed it!
  21. Very well done! Really love the color! The color and striping are reminiscent of the trucks on the road back what I first started driving trucks!
  22. Turned out great Sam! Love the old style transport trailer! Goes right with the ole Crackerbox!
