  1. My son just loves that year and older Ford pickups but everything you find in this area are rust buckets and if you find one that looks really clean you have to look it over really good to see how much body work was done and anything they say were southern trucks need to be checked to make sure they aren't flood trucks.
  2. That was the way Granpa was when I got mine in Jr High. Grandma got them for me anyways!LOL Drove by our son's house but couldn't stop in because they he is in day 8 of his covid vacation but saw him on the couch wearing his ear protection from work! She must have been trying them out!LOL
  3. Had thunder last night and rain. Today gray, overcast gloomy day got up to about 47. Riley! My son wants that truck sooooo bad!LOL
  4. Could she be following in gramdpas footsteps? She is the youngest of our 14 grand kids.
  5. Merry Christmas to all my plastiholic friends! I got a lump of coal!
  6. I remember some of their yards! Had mud holes you could lose a car in!LOL
  7. When we moved a year ago in August all the stuff in the back and bottom of the old closet wound up on shelves with all the truck stuff being put on the top shelf. I didn't have any cars painted to finish this winter so pulled these trucks out to finish. They had been put away and forgotten when I got on a Nascar build kick.
  8. That is one awesome job of weathering. Makes me want to hide my Cat kit in the closet because I could never achieve such detail!LOL
  9. Great looking Cruiseliner! Seeing them on the road back then seemed a rarity as I can only remember a very few. Maybe they were more a regional thing???
  10. Has that clean look of so many no frills fleet trucks. Looks great with the trailer behind it!
  11. Nice fleet! The black fenders were the crowning touch! Just the right look!
  12. Started this one around 2000 before it was religated to the back of the closet. Was being built like the one pictured on the box.
  13. Ha! They would probably quit the first day! First truck I drove was a really old Mack, manual steering with a twin stick. I was hauling liquid asphalt in non baffled trailers. First try at takeoff about put me through the windshield! First stop sent me sliding halfway across the intersection. The old guy that was getting me started said not to worry, he had been with worst!LOL
  14. Just finished her about 20 min. Ago. Was going to do some outdoors pictuers but clouded up and got breezy.
  15. The one you want is in the AMT 66 Ford Galaxie XL kit.
  16. Any tips on putting these things together would be much appreciated!
  17. That was what most of the trucks I drove had, many with armstrong steering!LOL
  18. Thanks guys. Don't know how much longer I can keep building. Some days the tremor in my left hand is so bad I have to clamp a part in a clothespin and hold it with the side of my hand against the bench to paint it. Assembling the mirrors is going to be a challenge!LOL
  19. Getting closer. Debating on using the ac unit. Most the compsmies that hauled livestok were to cheap to have it in their trucks back then.LOL
  20. The odd Fire V6 was a 300 with 2 cylinders cut out. First one was 198ci then came the 225 followed by the 231 odd fire. Last odd fire was produced I believe in 1976. My 4 door 62 Special had the 215 V8 with a 4 barrel. Land Rover ended up with it.
  21. Mickey is alone now. Sad news My band played a lot of their songs back in the day.
  22. Don't know why my pictures are so fuzzy on my computer. They look great on my phone which is what I have been using to take them.
  23. Just noticed I spelled Reo wrong in the heading. Interior done and ready also the hood and fenders.
  24. A little more done on the chassis. Finish up the interior next. Been down in the back pretty bad making sitting at the bench painful. Unfortunately no way to fix it.
