I'm still a tube glue user and probably always will be! Just picked up a two pack of Testors from Hobby Lobby. day before yesterday.

No airbrush here. No real place to use it the last several places we lived. Just step out the back door, make sure the neighbor lady don't have her windows open and start spraying!(weather permitting) Last place we had a carport with our mobile home that worked great, now we are in 55 and up apartment complex so I'm limited of my outside paint booth!LOL

I have had success using a new blade with a good point. The thick stuff has pretty much popped out/off and where possible flat blade scraping seems to be getting the rest. But what a pain it is!LOL

Chrome parts from the Ford C600 and the chrome was gone in a couple hours but after a week the varnish still is hanging on! Changed the solvent after 3 days and scrubbed the parts before re-soaking.

Before I started truck driving I worked for Wyenberg Shoes in Portage Wi. All their machines were Singer. I did maintenance and mechanic work on them. Everything there was still 40's and 50's era. About 10 years ago I donated all my repair manuals to the local library.

First thing I remembered him in was Billy Jack.

Been trying to save up for a couple more but the doctor keeps getting all my extra money I manage to save!LOL

Have Carney cases on the wall that hold 24 cars each. On top are some AMT cases . On the desk are old Johan cases. Have about 24 more of the Johans that I need to polish before using them again. Also have about 12 of the Lindberg chrome bottomed cases with Nascars in them still stored away.

That is awesome! How did you do the air intake vents on the sides of the cab?

I've seen three in my lifetime. Two when we lived in Wisconsin. One of those while hunting, maybe a 10 or 12 point buck. My wife's step-grandpa got mad when I wouldn't shoot it!LOL The third one was out of town at a state park. Coming into town saw it feeding in a corn field near the tree line. Looked to be a yearling. It made the local news the next day but a couple days later it had tried to cross the road at a bridge and a car hit it.

I have an Ampex 4 track recorder floating around somewhere. Used it in the late 60's with a band I was in and again in the 80's when I was doing occasional session work and filling in with oldie rock and country bands in the area. Later in the late 1990's and early to mid 2000's my sons used it with their band. They would record in my son's garage and later one of the guys would transfer it to digital.

Can you give more detail on how you lengthened the frame?

I ordered the 10.00-20 tires and they sent the 11.00-22 tires. Still waiting for a reply from the seller. So far all my old kits have wheels too small for these.

Got the AMT Ertl stake bed that has the C-900 parts and that is what I am going to build. Kit has one bad tire that I'll have to replace if I can find one the same size. Have a set of the AMT Big Rig tires on the way so maybe I'll use them instead. Have the chrome parts soaking in the purple pond, the chrome was gone in about 2 hours but after 3 days the varnish was still clinging on to the parts so back to soak some more!

I have used mine for 5+ years and now feel like I'm suffocating if I don't wear it at night. It does stop me from rattling the walls and windows!LOL I don't really seem to sleep better because of fighting with the mask and I end up sleeping on my face I suppose to stop it from leaking air around the mask. Because of back problems I cannot sleep on my back. If I could it most likely wouldn't leak. Have permanent dents in my forehead now!

Cant paint outside so after this I will set the truck aside and start working on the trailer.

The tires in my GMC Astro kit are terrible. Kit is dated 2004. The wheels just drop loosely through the side that didn't have the spider. Stuffed the tires with tissue to spread them a bit but they slide in over the raised center. Are the tire sets Round 2 are selling any better? I hate to go that way as I would have to order them and with shipping it would be north of 20 bucks for them!

Chassis is now green. Mixed my own shade out of Testors enamels.

It is actually dark red but comes out a little brighter in the pictures.

Interior done.

Getting some color on the interior. Debating on if the dash should be black or oxblood too. Also tring to figure out how to dull the shine a bit.

A really different subject for sure! Should be cool! I heard of them but never ever saw one!

I did on the GMC Astro kit I'm building. I just opened the hole up a bit, will have to do the same with the fan.

I dreamed of owning a 58 - 60 Thunderbird! Just love that body style. A neighbor had a yellow hardtop 58 with black and white interior and his wife had a coral 60 convertible with a white interior. I had a 70 Boss 429 Mustang 4 speed car, minus the Boss 429 and 4 speed !LOL I bought it at a farm equipment auction lot for 800 dollars where it sat back by the fence. Somewhere along the line it had wound up with a 351 Cleveland under the hood backed up with a 3 speed. Drove it for about a year and sold it for 3,000 dollars to a guy who eventually restored it.
