  1. No, that's real! They asked my wife to transfer there before she retired but her health wouldn't allow her to work in that climate.
  2. One just like this! 1978 Ford Fiesta
  3. My Great Aunt had that exact TV! Still had it when she passed away in 1990 and it looked brand new! Almost was, only got used about two hours 6 days a week give or take an hour if we were visiting but we kids could only watch for half an hour sitting on her plastic covered furniture. Her husband was a farmer and only watched the morning news and farm report and the evening news. But no TV on Sundays.
  4. This was my wife's great grandmas radio bought around 1939. These things were not cheap! Still works!
  5. Was rabbit hunting in Missouri with an uncle years ago when we came upon trash left behind by the off road guys! It was in a pile at the bottom of the ravine. When we checked it out we found the signed title in the glove box with a note "if you can get it out it's yours!" It is still there today!LOL
  6. I like chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce. But my real guilty pleasure on most things is nacho cheese sauce or cheese sauce in general! My wife once told my daughter-in-law that I would eat cheese sauce on ice cream if offered!LOL Hmmmmm, I wonder...........................
  7. I have to have a 30 day event heart monitor done. Was supposed to get it Friday but they didn't have one available because someone didn't show up to return it. So yesterday they called again, still didn't have one so rescheduled for today. I was on my way there when they called and they girl says another doctor ordered one and the tech didn't check scheduling and gave mine to someone else. Now they won't have a return until next Tuesday!
  8. Steve I went and looked at some cars I have done several years back and some of them do have that issue too but not quite as rough.
  9. This stuff is different again. It has a glossy look as a sheet but once applied it polishes out bright. My issue is after applied no matter how you burnish it it appears and feels rough. The foil is thin and adheres like it should. Could not get clear pictures of the compaison to the old piece I had. Here is a picture with some texture to show it does form over some detail.
  10. My replacement came yesterday. Haven't tried it yet as I don't have anything ready just yet.
  11. I remember building some of the Manx kits with side pods.
  12. We wore out the VHS tape and had to buy the DVD!
  13. Something in a bigger sized metal flake perhaps? Helped build a few of these way back in another lifetime. We also had molds and made several different style bodies. I remember we had 30 gallon fiberboard barrels full of flake in silver, gold, blue, red and green to use in the finish.
  14. Just received this today. Hi Johnny, I have finally received the foil. I am making a run of product today. I should be able to send your replacement sheet of chrome out on Monday. Regards, Randy P. Mason Bare-Metal Foil Co. 248 477-0813
  15. A friend in high school inherited his mom's 65 Impala 4 door. It was a 409 4 speed car they had ordered new to pull a 35 foot boat. Best yet in Evening Orchid with a white interior! He still has it but buried in pole barn.
  16. Going with the TV based color. It is my grandson's favorite TV series. His dad commissioned me for this job. Think I'll pick one up for myself and maybe do a showroom stock with Rally wheels and maybe try my hand at doing a vinyl roof. Back in the day used to pick nice looking 67's up from backyards dirt cheap. All most needed was a new cam. Then sell them to the used car lots for a decent profit. We found one that was a 4 door with a 4 speed!
  17. My oldest sister had a huge crush on him and bought everything he recorded!
  18. About 6 hours over three days. Now wait for nice weather to paint the body along with several other wip's. Building this for my grandson in the Navy. He won't get it for about 9 months after he gets back from deployment on the USS Tripoli.
  19. Thanks Chris! Lots of good ideas there.
  20. Want to build a replica of my 66 Pontiac Lemans and need taillights.
  21. I don't know about the fitment but the Revell 69 Dodge Dart has a well detailed chassis and engine.
  22. Finished the exhaust last night. Calling the chassis done.
  23. Looks good as is. Has that fleet truck look. Bought for service, not show!
