  1. It is painted.(twice) Orange peeled really bad. Polished it out best I could without burning through and then cleared.
  2. Not my best work but passable for my grandson who loves the series.
  3. I think it was for the storage boxes not offered on the usual day cabs and they had no need of a sleeper. The ones I saw had a shelf all the way across behind the seats.
  4. The dunkin's here became "Donut King" in the late 80's when the Indian owner dropped the franchise., bet he was still making them on site like DD used to in the 60's&70's. We have since got new DD's but the product pales in comparison. Too greasy.
  5. Chuck, you never cease to amaze me with your builds!
  6. Great job on the conversion! Great looking truck! Years ago there were several of those in this area and a couple Petes too that were owned by large farms!
  7. Built this around 1999.
  8. Takes me back to the good old days when I first started trucking. Great looking build!
  9. I'm building a Lindberg box trailer that I was going to use behind it. Was thinking it was too big but then I do remember local cartage companies here using the C900's to pull full size trailers.
  10. C600 stake bed kit built as a C900 semi tractor. Cab hits grill so won't tilt all the way. Mirrors were a real pain but after three times reassembling got them right.
  11. Foil work done (new stuff works great) a little detail work done, interior and glass in. Last picture here, next ones will be in the finished section.
  12. Going to look awesome when it's done!
  13. I've cheated it too many times so I figure I owe it one. How , when or why is not a thing I worry about .
  14. The tracks and other parts do look great but just a little out of my pockets reach.
  15. Got the cab painted, took a week for the paint to cure. Guess humidity must have slowed it. Just finished the window trim and vents. Used acrylic craft paint so I could fix any mistakes I would make, and I did too!Lol Not easy with one hand that wants to shake all the time now. My modeling days may be coming to an end I guess.
  16. No, that's real! They asked my wife to transfer there before she retired but her health wouldn't allow her to work in that climate.
  17. One just like this! 1978 Ford Fiesta
  18. My Great Aunt had that exact TV! Still had it when she passed away in 1990 and it looked brand new! Almost was, only got used about two hours 6 days a week give or take an hour if we were visiting but we kids could only watch for half an hour sitting on her plastic covered furniture. Her husband was a farmer and only watched the morning news and farm report and the evening news. But no TV on Sundays.
  19. This was my wife's great grandmas radio bought around 1939. These things were not cheap! Still works!
  20. Was rabbit hunting in Missouri with an uncle years ago when we came upon trash left behind by the off road guys! It was in a pile at the bottom of the ravine. When we checked it out we found the signed title in the glove box with a note "if you can get it out it's yours!" It is still there today!LOL
  21. I like chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce. But my real guilty pleasure on most things is nacho cheese sauce or cheese sauce in general! My wife once told my daughter-in-law that I would eat cheese sauce on ice cream if offered!LOL Hmmmmm, I wonder...........................
  22. I have to have a 30 day event heart monitor done. Was supposed to get it Friday but they didn't have one available because someone didn't show up to return it. So yesterday they called again, still didn't have one so rescheduled for today. I was on my way there when they called and they girl says another doctor ordered one and the tech didn't check scheduling and gave mine to someone else. Now they won't have a return until next Tuesday!
  23. Steve I went and looked at some cars I have done several years back and some of them do have that issue too but not quite as rough.
  24. This stuff is different again. It has a glossy look as a sheet but once applied it polishes out bright. My issue is after applied no matter how you burnish it it appears and feels rough. The foil is thin and adheres like it should. Could not get clear pictures of the compaison to the old piece I had. Here is a picture with some texture to show it does form over some detail.
  25. My replacement came yesterday. Haven't tried it yet as I don't have anything ready just yet.
