AMT Dump Trailer
OldTrucker replied to OldTrucker's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
When I started building this kit in the early 90's there wern't any tri-axles in the area, rarely see them today around here. This is similar to the dump box I would occasionally pull at the last place I drove for. -
Converted to a two axle. Otherwise basically box stock other than pinning the landing gear recessing the side marker lights and making new tailgate handles.

Please tell me I'm wrong about this death too.

Had the pleasure of meeting him back in 1981 he was visiting a friend who was my neighbor at the time. Seemed like a great guy. One of my favorite bands. -
Great news Michael! Dr sent me for blood work in July I asked the PA what tests he ordered and she told me and I asked about a PSA and she found I hadn't had one in over 5 years so she added it to the order. Luckily it came back good. Guys, ask your doctor when he orders routine blood work.

Building it to go with the dump trailer. Can't believe how tough the crime plating is on this kit and most has to come off! Three days in purple power and still some remained! Another first is I am following the instructions and removing parts as I go because so many extra parts seem to be in the kit. So far it has been a pain! LOL

AMT Dump Trailer

Painted the dump bed today. Just ent out to get it and the tailgate was gone. Wasn't windy so was puzzled until I walked around the corner of the building where evidently one of our rats with bushy tails dropped it! -
AMT CF White Freightliner
OldTrucker replied to OldTrucker's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Got the doubles for it that I will start soon. -
Like the lowboy, it was started in the early 90's then religated to the closet. Converted it to a 2 axle . Today started assembling the dump bed. Added an interior panel to the tailgate, it e Will be glued shut and will add false floor and might use kitty litter for a load when done.

I was told by a very old CF driver it was to remove one of the blind spots, that being the car hiding behind the mirror. -

Got the wood ready to install. Had a dab of flat black enamel and just made a wash with it. Brushed on and wiped off. -

I guess I'm what they call pre-diabetic as I have bouts of hypoglycemia. If it hits seems to be early morning before breakfast or between breakfast and lunch. If I eat too early or am late on lunch it will hit me. It hits quick too with little warning most times! Doctors still can't tell me what is causing it, my a1c is good and I'm never on the high side.

All the wood finally cut and placed for reference. Will paint underside black and weather and maybe scar the boards. -
Started this in 1993 and decided to get it done. Decided to do the floor in wood so a dollar pack of popsicle sticks from Dollar General are being used. Picked up cat yellow from Farm & Fleet for it and the cat.
