  1. Just found this in a box of old stuff the wife kept from before we were married! I gave this to her when we were going steady! Didn't even know it still existed and the only part that fell off was the tie rod! Noticed I glued the headers on upside down!
  2. Just pulled them out of the closet after about three years. Been there since we moved. Some built in the 80's.
  3. The ones I remember had either 10 inch full reverse US aluminum slots or Cragar SS on the back 6 inch with a 3 inch offset on the front with Mickey Thompson Indy Profiles all around L60's back and F 70's on the front! Of course the needed Gabriel HiJackers to clear the rear rubber with torsion bars adjusted to raise the front!!LOL
  4. The wife's sister said her boyfriend was having issues and I told her to tell him to go get checked but she said he was taking something that he got from the health food store. 18 month later he has a tube though his belly direct to his bladder and now a tube running from each kidney all running to a bag on his leg. Taking chemo pills and bi-weekly appointments. Next week the will do surgery to plumb all three tubes into one. Just had mine checked last month, blood and physical checks and everything is good. My doctor said they quit doing the PSA yearly because the insurance companies and even medicare said they are not that accurate said they had a lot of false positives that led to unnecessary tests and procedures. Sounds more like they don't want to pay for what you pay them for.
  5. By Illinois law the 50+ housing we live in (4 triplex units) installed all new 10 year smoke/o2 detectors. 8 of those now sit deactivated in the maintainence room because they were going off at all hours day and night for no reason! The maint. guy put new battery units back in and still has not gotten a response from Kidde on what the deal is. I just changed batteries in ours with the time change. Heard other people with the same issues with other brands! Sent one 90 year old lady to the hospital when her's went off at 3am and about scared her to death!
  6. More coming soon! Finally got the bad paint off, the hard way as nothing seemed to touch it, even a two month long soak in the purple pond nor easy off! Ended up with a lot of careful sanding and brake fluid.
  7. More coming soon! Finally found the thread!
  8. Got this in a trade had some broken parts like one of the headers and mounting pins missing on some parts. Didn't like all the chrome so full coated the intake, did a light gold/silver on the carb, did the starter in aluminum and semi gloss black Repainted the heads aluminum, the headers in flat black. Don't understand the ac compresser but looked naked without it so went ahead and added it.
  9. Someone years back from a model forum sent this to me all disassembled. Now in the process of reassembling it but decided to do a little detailing of my own. Only source I find to figure out how it all fits are a few poor videos on youtube.

  10. My wife is a keeper so we now have 73 puppies in a keepsake box. 1 for every year we were married + 20 because we both would donate some years at different places.
  11. Merry Birthmas Carl!
  12. Calling this one done other than decals later on.
  13. Rats with bushy tails. I was looking for an old picture of grandpa on the porch swing with a squirrel next to him taking a peanut and all around the ceiling of the porch about 30 squirrel tails hanging! Every kid in the neighborhood had one or two on their handle bars! He was an avid hunter but if someone was harassing a squirrel in the neighborhood he would tell at them to knock it off! LOL
  14. I have a couple in my collection I built while I was trucking OTR, painted outside in a lot while waiting on loading or unloading and assembled on the doghouse of my truck!
  15. 70/30 Ground beef , a can of chili hot beans 2 cans dark red kidney beans, salt, pepper, green peppers, large can of diced tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, chili powder and a little cayenne pepper. We start browning the ground beef add onions, chopped green pepper, salt, pepper, chili powder cooked until the onions get translucent then add all the rest into the pot add more chili powder and the cayenne pepper to taste. Cook on low heat for a couple for about an hour.
  16. No matter what device or configuration I still have issues. The reaction button and mark as read button does not work. If I want to go to the next page in comments I have to go out and click on the page 2 button.
  17. Jot the cab mounted using a shim on one mounting point then just sat and held it in place with hood closed until it stuck which was a while because I was out of super glue and had to use tube glue.
  18. I ain't fraid of no ghost!
  19. Getting closer just jve to figure out mounting the cab. There seems to be no real mounting points on it. Do know the hood has to be in place first.
  20. Not models but have a friend that restores and repairs guitars. He found a cheap old camper trailer that had been gutted that somone was going to restore put down a new floor overlay and made sure all the leaks were fixed and windows . That allowed him to set it up the way he wanted including a walled off paint booth.
  21. Burt Young died Oct. 8th at the age of 83. I liked him in about every role he played.
  22. Just a quick build with a couple added things it needed. Don't have decals with this iRC Ertl ssue kit.
