98% done and just realized it was not in the box! Traded for the kit several years ago, it had been resealed and never bothered to check it.

Probably last WIP post on this one. It is going together. Just worked on the taillights. Used old foil out of a cigarette box . Been using that same piece for around 30 years and still have a lot left.

1st of 2014! Just finished it today. I wouldn't have bought the kit myself but one of my sons bought it for me so had to build it. Glad I did as it is better than I thought it would be!

Our youngest Granddaughter did the weather at 6:30am on WGN 9 Chicago this morning!

Got the stripes on finally. Did the sides a couple days ago and finally got brave enough to do the roof stripe! LOL

Melanie Safka passed away yesrerday at the age of 76. Loved her songs especially Laydown Laydown (Candles in the Rain) and Brand New Key.

My wife had the same thing, it sneaks up on you slowly.

We live in a 55+ housing that has 4 triplexes. They posted a notice to stop feeding the squirrels. We never have, I still concider they rats with bushy tails. The lady that lived next door woukd feed them all the time but she recently passed away. The squirrels would sit on the porch of her emply apartment and jump up and hang on the screen looking in for her really tearing it up. New lady has moved in and one squirrel would sit on the porch rail and bark at her every time she came out the door and she would shoo it away. Well last week it was sitting on her rail screeching really loud and when she opened the door to shoo it away it jumped on her and bit her on the cheek and ear! Took me an hour to chase it out of her apartment while my wife treated her wounds. She went to the doctors office abd got 4 stiches in her ear. They just seem to get more destructive every year that goes by. Rarely see red squirrels anymore and that used to be what most were around here.

I've seen sellers at car shows turn white when someone shells out a lot of cabbage for an old sealed kit and stand right there and open it up! I have done that myself a couple times had one guy offer me more to buy it back when I said I was going to build the kit he sold me.

I've been every where man!LOL Currently in a one horse town called Herscher in Illinois.

Had to drive 20 miles of horrible road conditions so the wife could get followup blood work. It was evident the girl at the desk of the outpatient center didn't want to be there and it took a lot not to tell her off. Get home and a few hours later results come in and we discover that when she put it in she left off the most important test and they didn't do it! Called the hospital only to be told the outpatient center closed early because of bad weather. We will now have to get it done tuesday morning after she gets out of the sleep study clinic. She was scheduled to get more blood work on that day. We also found that they didn'y honor the request to send the results to our primary care doctor. I asked that it be done on the phone but they said she has to be there to sign consent again.

Actually was Tuesday the wife was let out of the hospital! She suffers a type of heart failure and it snuck up on us. Her COPD had been getting worse but they weren't sure of the cause and that doctor referred her to the cardiologist who looked at her tests and said they say no changes. Our old Primary doctor kept telling her to lose weight that yhat was the problem but she was barely eating and gaining weight. The new Primary we have sent her to the ER laast Friday because she was swelled up like a balloon around her middle but hardly anything in her legs hands or feet. They put her in and found she now had fluid in her lungs and what the family doctor and others thought was just fat was water weight! 3 days in the hospital on IV diaretics and she put out over 25 pounds worth of fluids! She walks all over now without getting short of breath where before just getting out of a chair would make her breath hard! It just came on so slow over the past year that no one really noticed! Did med changes and sending out home care for physical therapy and dietary training (no more salt!!) plus having her come regularly to a heart failure clinic from now on.

Between losing the race car drivers of my day and the musicians of my day I'm really starting to to think that I just may not be immortal!
