  1. Enjoy life while you can still travel!
  2. Just keep on trying Carl, never give up! I can understand what you are feeling, not anything near your issue but have increasing tremors in my left hand. Really slowdown any progress.
  3. I met him when he was running a shoestring operation. His guys would cash their paycheck and hand most back to John so they could compete at the next track! Really dedicated team! That says a lot of what kind of guy he is that they would do that! Many times at tracks in later years watched him at the table signing autographs and a little kid, especially if it was a girl would be there and he would ask if she like ice cream. He would go into the truck and come back with a soft serve cone for the kid! Had his own machine!
  4. He is in neuro icu. That most likely means closed head injury. Been there twice, not fun at all. Don't picture this guy quitting.
  5. Great to see a Mack Cabover of that era built! Yours looks great considering what you had to work with on the cab!
  6. Going to the doctor tomorrow as instead of a couple days of pain I'm now at a week so the wife made me call the doctor. Have to admit this time is more intense than past flareups have been. Add in my GERD and fatty liver disease and it can get rough.
  7. Met him back in his early days and he is just as genuine today as he was back then when he was running on a shoestring!
  8. That so cool that my wife even loves it! Like the Mercury conversions you are doing! Rare trucks!
  9. Calling it done except for adding some chains on the plow when I find some.
  10. A picture of what you have would help find them.
  11. Don't really know. The school bus is 3.5 inches long and the scenic cruiser is 3.25 inches long.
  12. Any interest? The school bus was hand painted decals are questionable. The scenic cruiser hand painted and needs a purple pond bath. It is all there except the screws. One end of front bumper broke off and missing one wheel loose on axle. Trade for???
  13. No such thing as too many WIP's!?
  14. Glad someone could use them! Happy Modeling!
  15. Little more done. Had to redo the exhaust and notch the dumpty bed for the stack. Figuring out the snow plow and salt spreader from the instructions is a head scratcher.
  16. Getting the dump bed mounting pieces adapted to the frame. My luck was the amount I had shortened the frame already was exactly what was needed!
  17. Built a long long time ago. Shortened the frame with the idea to make a dry spreader like the one I ran at Simplot Soil Builders in Ault Colorado. Got put on the back burner. Decided it would be good candidate for the snowplow and dump bed from the Amt Ford kit. Considered fleet orange but decided the thing looks too good to change so will go black or red with the dump bed and plow.
  18. Built as close as I could to one that used to street race here locally long long ago. Tried to replicate the old Thrush mufflers lat has left so many of us with tinnitus. LOL
  19. Got the body and neck back home. A little too white for me, the first two paint coverings was a bit more yellow, aged looking but my son threw away the paint cans and when he needed another coat guessed at the color. If I'm lucky it will yellow a bit with age, of I could leave it at my sister in laws for a few months and let her chain smoking do the job! LOL Now a little fret work and try oil the neck before assembly.
  20. Beautiful Nomad! Rare to see one built stock!
  21. In the mail and on the truck. We are at the other end of the block from the PO and the truck just left!LOL
  22. I have these left over.
  23. Nice looking Demon! I built the original years ago and I need to get this kit and replicate it! Mine was red.
  24. I found this in a box with my 1/16 kits. I don't even remember building it but I imagine it was a gift from my wife at some time. Anyone recognize the kit??
