  1. Yep, had the box lid and instruction sheet right there and still had a brain malfunction!
  2. Thanks to Gramps46 who gave me this kir over 6 years ago. Thanks to LDO who sent me the missing valve cover I needed. Decided I liked the color so will clean up the flash and polish the body. Might still paint the fenders as they are a bit rough. Just finished the chassis today.
  3. It is in the finished category now along with the tank trailer.
  4. Mailed a package 275 miles south of us to our newest great grandson. Here is the trackins. 5. Great looking rig, nice color combo too! I don't think it is too shiny. All the towing companies her that have the big rig haulers keep them pristine!
  6. Never sold one. but have given several away to kids wanting something to start on. Most were builds using parts from garage sale and flee market guitars and even some found in people's trash. One I gave my son was an old Guitar I picked up at a venue where a punk rocker smashed it on the stage at the end of their set. A 1970's Harmony. I totally refinished and bought all new hardware and electronics for it. He used it several years as his primary guitar in the band he was in at the time. Another my granddaughter now has was a Fender knockoff bass from the 70's that I reworked with all new hardware. Her dad took it to a music store for a setup and they said it was better than any of their new ones on the rack! This one is a kit that I picked up cheap I replaced the tuners and the pots and output jack but the pickups tested out as good. I have a SOLO Tele kit with a prefinished body to build got for 150.00 Just had to finish the neck and wire it up. Time will tell in the electronics and hardware quality. Also have an ES335 kit that someone else decided was over their head, maybe mine too! LoL You can buy a decent guitar cheaper than you can build one for. Kit prices have a wide range and as always what you pay for is what you get in quality. It is just the challenge of the build and just like the models I build, I get pleasure just looking at them knowing that I accomplished something. I have played in bands starting in Jr High School and even did some session work in Nashville in the past. I don't play much anymore, I can't hardly even read music anymore. Arthritis hinders playing these days too.
  7. Instead of wiring it with two volume and two tone pots per the instructions I wired it with three volume and one tone. That split the bridge pickup.
  8. Getting there. Have to wire the pickups and the output jack yet. The color is really more offwhite than shows.
  9. Thought I could smell the diesel ! Looks almost real! Outstanding job on an old AMT kit!
  10. Really sharp looking rig!
  11. I did have to get up and walk away from it quite a few times before I would do something I would regret! LOL
  12. Just finished it this morning. Took two days just for the dad gummed mirrors!
  13. They trapped the little guy and relocated him to a wooded area several miles away after a long twisty drive. Same place others from the neighborhood went to.
  14. They have twice! So far his neighbours have trapped 5 and a dog killed another. He set a trap last night.
  15. Not my yard but in my son's driveway. Second time they found it there in the last week!
  16. Got the front wheels on and grill and headlights in.
  17. Homemade pizza and a lettuce salad grounded in thousand island dressing.
  18. Had a beautiful day 78 degrees with low humidity and a light breeze. It gave me a perfect opportunity to get two project guitar necks oiled!
  19. Just completed a couple trades with JerseeJerry55 Great guy to trade with!
  20. I'm with you but beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess the saying goes! LoL I still can't get past having anything over a 15 inch tire/wheel on the old cars.
  21. Getting drive wheels and tires done. I use tissues or napkins rolled to keep the tires spread to fit the wheels plus have never had a wheel go flat from sitting.
  22. Yes. On Cragars I would wipe them down with index daily.
  23. There were also a terrible wheel that copied Cragar called Rocket. Saw several have the centers break away from the outer rim.
  24. Yes! I had a set on the front of my 66 Lemans!
