  1. These tires fit the Dodge L700 wheel great! They are the ones used in the AMT Freightliner SD/DD kit.
  2. Hey Scott, nice looking rig! Just a tip, tyo get the tires to fit tighter to the rim I use rolled up napkins or kleenex to hold they out at the bead.
  3. Was trying to trade it off but could not find anything iinteresting. Then the wife told me I was too chicken to try it myself, so here it goes! Lot of cleanup to do on the cab. Too thick on one side near the windows and rough around the quarter windows. Also the roof is a bit thin in an area. Don't know what to do there yet. Interior is coming together with more period seats. Also inner door panels from altered L700 kit which is the donor. Also made some front suspension adjustments. I am going to use the tank trailer from the latest L700 kit.
  4. Trade places? We live in a 55+ community in a small rural town. 4 triplex buildings. We are the only couple here and the youngest. Wife soon to be 70 and me 70+. All the rest that live here are all single women 80+ to 100! Every time they need help guess who the come to! Can't say no. Even if I wanted to my wife wouldn't let me! LoL
  5. Still looking for these decals!
  6. My son came by last night and hung my new model Carney cases which I filled today. Just need to put the doors on. Would be full but some are too tall for the spaces.
  7. In 1990 Drove a 64 VW Bus from Greeley Colorado to just north of Marion Illinois. Used a bungee cord to hold it in 4th gear! Was in late November and it had little for heat!
  8. Most of my cars were what are now called classics! Bought most from the 150-dollar row at the back lot of a car dealership.
  9. That is the color it was molded in. I just polished it and waxed it. The fenders too.
  10. That is the color the body was molded in. Just polished and waxed it.
  11. Finally done. Still missing 2 door handles and the distributor. Had three door handles but one flew away when I was trying to installing with a tweezer.
  12. Homemade chicken pot pie!
  13. Ours was easy, with 17 grandkids we just get gift cards except for the 3 youngest! (greats)
  14. Nice shoe box Ford. One of my favorite cars! Had a 1950 2 door with a V8 with Overdrive. Ran straight pipes and boy did she sound sweet!
  15. Woke up to find this in my model room today! Wife managed to hide it for a week! She said it was a replacement for one I gave up in the late 70's when times were tough. While not exactly what I had that I sure could not afford today, it still brings back memories. Made for a great birthday!
  16. My worst nightmare was when we moved from Wisconsin back to IL. in the late 70's. When we unpacked the trailer discovered 2 huge boxes of my built models were missing aling with a few of household items. They were some of my earliest builds. All we could figure was someone stole the boxes while we were inside the house while loading the trailer.
  17. The decals I used on the Matador came from Dave Van.
  18. Yes after a move. Found it years later in a box of doilies and nicknacs in a closet after another move.
  19. I forgot all about that one! LOL
  20. Very pretty woman and great actress as far as I'm concerned. Highly underrated. I remember her as a dancer uncredited in several Elvis movies too!
  21. Looking good. I built this kit on it's first release and it is a really nice kit as is and you are just showing what it could be beyond the box!
  22. Polished the body using Meguiars PlastX cleaner and polish.
