Gone as far as I can until warm weather to do the cab. Modeled the engine after the REO gas V8 that was available at the time. Ganges could have been better. Just copied from the 60 Impala sheet on paper and glued to dash.

Sometimes a person doesn't have the ability to get the "right tools " so they have to make do with what they have available. I've been there and done that myself. Some might call it ingenuity!

Got these from my oldest son. He and his girl love flea markets and scored these sealed kits for 5 bucks for both! One has the golden wheels cut out of the box but still sealed! Don't know what I will do with them yet.

Sent two packages south, one to southern IL and the other south-Central Mo. Both went to the dist. center in Champaign that night and the IL one was in St Louis the next morning. The one to southern IL. got there the next day early enough to make delivery. The one to about 70 miles southwest of St Louis found its way to Chicago the night it was mailed and was in St Louis the next morning. Two hours later it was scanned out of St Louis, 10 hours later it was scanned into Chicago! 3 hours later scanned out of Chicago and 7 hours later scanned back into St Louis. and scanned out a hour later heading to destination. now two days saying headed to destination but late.

Was never impressed with Rics, that much, but Vox had some really cool designs back in the day and most sounded pretty solid!

Is maybe the government allowing Amazon and other delivery services do dry runs and maybe mapping out the areas?

Chassis and wheels and tires done. Working on interior and trying to figure out an engine for it. Will be at a stand still soon waiting for warm weather to paint.

I've only seen one Burns guitar in all my 70+ years. A guy from a 60's retro band in Chicago was using one in the 1980s ! Slingerland, now you are talking! LoL My kit was a mish mash of anything I found decent and that was what I used until I gave it up!

I've had an assortment of brands over the tears, now mostly cheapies or kit guitars. I never had a real preference as each add their unique dynamics that lend to different style of music. Just about finished with a kit PJ Bass and a kit Tele and have an ES335 kit sitting in the wings waiting to be built.

Should be a fun build to watch. USPS is doing things that make no sense unless it is to discourage using the cheapest shipping. Anything sent priority gets here on time but if sent ground it gets 70 miles south at the sort center which usually means it will be here the next morning mail. Instead, I will get a notice on tracking that it is in transit but will be late and it takes two more days to get here.

Need one slick and any chrome I can find. Most of mine the chrome has disintegrated on. Also the Decals. Mine was an original kit that might have gotten a little too much sun in the past!

These tires fit the Dodge L700 wheel great! They are the ones used in the AMT Freightliner SD/DD kit.

Hey Scott, nice looking rig! Just a tip, tyo get the tires to fit tighter to the rim I use rolled up napkins or kleenex to hold they out at the bead.

Was trying to trade it off but could not find anything iinteresting. Then the wife told me I was too chicken to try it myself, so here it goes! Lot of cleanup to do on the cab. Too thick on one side near the windows and rough around the quarter windows. Also the roof is a bit thin in an area. Don't know what to do there yet. Interior is coming together with more period seats. Also inner door panels from altered L700 kit which is the donor. Also made some front suspension adjustments. I am going to use the tank trailer from the latest L700 kit.

Trade places? We live in a 55+ community in a small rural town. 4 triplex buildings. We are the only couple here and the youngest. Wife soon to be 70 and me 70+. All the rest that live here are all single women 80+ to 100! Every time they need help guess who the come to! Can't say no. Even if I wanted to my wife wouldn't let me! LoL

My son came by last night and hung my new model Carney cases which I filled today. Just need to put the doors on. Would be full but some are too tall for the spaces.

In 1990 Drove a 64 VW Bus from Greeley Colorado to just north of Marion Illinois. Used a bungee cord to hold it in 4th gear! Was in late November and it had little for heat!

Most of my cars were what are now called classics! Bought most from the 150-dollar row at the back lot of a car dealership.
