  1. I can't remember if I got this at the Goodwill of Salvation Army store about 11 years or so ago ago. No paperwork was with it so after an online search found it. It was a GTS Music from diy-guitar-kits.com They called it a Jazz Style Bass Kit but what it is is a PJ Bass. P Bass Pickups and then a two coil humbucker at the bridge.
  2. UPS brought me a replacement for my surf green Squire Bullet Strat my grandson talked me into selling to him. Got this Squire Affinity Strat 2 tone burst off Reverb for 120.00 shipped! Was listed as an open box return in perfect shape (and it is too!) for 170.00.
  3. Wife has been nagging me since I got an ES335 guitar kit about the bass guitar kit in the closet that I got about 11,years ago. I pulled it out today and started the mockup as nothing was pre drilled. Neck pocket was loose so took a bit to get it aligned. Going to do it in a cream color.
  4. Didn't like the taillights for the trailer, can't remember seeing any like them. So decided since so many extra lenses were included I would do somerging more familiar. Hopefully it won't be windy and I can do some painting this weekend!
  5. My son bought this yesterday!
  6. Plot thickens. The ship sinks unexpectedly shortly after salvage crew boarded! Hmmmmmm.....LOL
  7. Mostly 60's and early 70's rock. Have been known to occasionally build to Yanni and Glenn Miller too!
  8. Radar Love by Golden Earring Pipeline by The Chantays
  9. Just killing a little time before lunch I painted the trailer mud flaps.
  10. I started with the nose and one side and held it in place until it was set, then added the other side the same way. Once everything was solid enough I put glue along the locating rib at the front of the roof and on the first inch of the sides and slid the sides assembly into place. After that was solid enough I pushed the sides out just a crack and ran glue along each side pushing it together as I went. Yeah, typical weather for this time of year. A few warm days then cold again. as Long as we can get days above freezing with sun and no wind I will paint! Quick step out the door, spray and back inside before the parts get too cold. Put them in a box and into the closet to dry.
  11. Snuck outside between rain drops and painted the trailer bottom. Got the three sides glued to the roof. Now need to try and straighten the rear doors some more.
  12. Found a decent extra set of tires in another kit so,have the trailer wheels done. Glued the side doors in place because they were warped and no one is ever going to look inside anyways! Rear doors are really warped bad. Hope i can straighten them more than I have already.
  13. Interesting thought indeed!
  14. First great grandbaby arrived this afternoon! Don't have all the details other than he was delivered by the EMT's on the kitchen floor. They went to the hospital which is 50 minutes away from their house and they sent her back home. Shortly after getting home labor really kicked in. The EMT's got there just in time to deliver him.
  15. My kid got a 1990 Skyline from there. Came through Canada, to a dealer in Oregon shipped to Illinois.
  16. Learned to drive in grandpa's 1954 Chevy Belair with a Powerglide trans. He would let me move it from the street into the yard to wash it and then let me drive back roads when we went fishing. I was driving my self to school every day freshman and sophomore years before I had a license. When I got the behind the wheel part of drivers ed I drove a few locks when he had me stop and get in the back and never drove the rest of the class. He said I didn't need the training as he had seen me driving to school every day already and figured if I had not been stopped for it by now I must already be good enough.. Learned to drive a stick shift in a 1950's grain truck when I was around 11-12 years old while working for a local farmer in the summers. He had to block the pedals so I could reach them!
  17. A little more work done on the trailer. Could used a third hand trying to get this thing together straight! Finally got the box done and ready for paint as soon as it gets warm enough. Went ahead and glued the doors shut after several tries to get them to work right.
  18. Starting on the Lindberg bax trailer for it. What a pain with loads of flash and warped panels.. Got the axle assembly done glued bed halves and side panels together. Will assemble the box and paint as a unit.
  19. I figure I have more important things to do than worry about what will happen to inanimate things after I'm gone. Like living for today and enjoying each new one I am allowed to have! What happens after I'm gone I will never know any way. Told my wife "no funeral" they can have a family and friend get together after I'm gone. Told her I want a cheap burial at sea and when asked I told her just dump my ashes in the commode and flush and I'll eventually get there!?
  20. Looks great so far! Looking forward to seeing this build!
  21. Wife surprised me with this today. Going to use the tank trailer behind a White 3000 conversion.
  22. Haven't really decided but one will be white but still undecided on the second color. Going to pair it up with the old Lindberg box trailer.
  23. I finally got it all off with an exacto blade and some sanding. The small chrome pieces looked like chrome blobs because the varnish was so thick under the plating.
  24. The outfits nuns wear varies according to their order and the type of vows they took when they entered monastic life. Complete habits are only worn by nuns who take full vows in the more conservative orders; other orders allow for abbreviated habits or more conventional forms of dress, and women who take the simple vows (technically called sisters of the order rather than nuns), may not wear any distinguishing garments at all.
  25. A little more done on the truck.
